why are people saying this is identical to nerd project? Legit the only things they have in common are the university and western setting but there are thousands of webtoon with the exact same setting is it the gloomy x popular pair? It's like the oldest trope in the book... Is the "gloomy guy is actually super handsome behind those fake glasses"? it's such a common and old ass trope as well, super corny too
I had a bigass 68 webtoons update on my notification page today so i dont remember all of them very well but i usually figure it out while reading.. gun to my head i could not remember what the hell was this story about, my mind went blank and i was confused about what the hell was up with this concept had to reread the entire thing
The ml went through all kinds of flags what the hell we never saw that fucker of a step sibling or whatever he should've just kill him he was so annoying... And about the artstyle, at the beginning it reminded me of the first part of The unquenchable Mr Kim but later on it was just weird the faces sometimes were so sharp with weird ass angles and the mc had bug eyes on top of all..
Both this and The dirties high are so good, i love the artist's taste in bottoms ughhh also they seemed to be worried about it but i think they did such a good job at not making jiwan unlikeable at all even when he's the run-away-because-he's-scared type!! Some stuff was really realistic, like asking Taeyang if he could really explain to his parents that he's dating someone of the same sex who even has a child (it's hard even when they're the opposite sex and in a country more accepting unlike the super conservative sk) I kinda wished they had explore more of that but it's a short story I guess
Also another thing we should have gotten a better explanation was baby Taeyang... so Jiwan and Anna really did date and slept together? When Jiwan knew back from when he was in middle school or even earlier he only liked guys?? They had unprotected sex?? And the mother carried the child for 9 months, raised him a little bit (that baby at the airport was not a newborn) just to give him away, leave the country with her girlfriend, visit the child enough to be considered "family" but wants nothing to do with him!? What about the girlfriend? They met during or after the pregnancy?? If they were dating during then the mother already thought of leaving after a while? Or she dated her after giving birth to the child?? Did the girlfriend not wanted the child either?? She must have had a say... It kinda gives me the ick no matter what not gonna lie, I really need to hear whats her side of the story... For the first chapters I thought she was just a surrogate mother or something, which i wouldve disliked too because i don't like the concept of surrogacy but at least it would've make sense for her to leave the baby him and act like it was a damn present from her... I know it's fiction but damn I find it so annoying, they should've just made Taeyang be an adopted nephew or smth
I'm actually so disappointed... I was such a huge fan of the story but I could tell halfway through that it was going so fast to end as soon as possible... I feel like there was so much to explore and development for the main characters. The action chapters were fun but honestly we didn't see much character building in the new season. Their relationship suddenly got better mid fighting and we never saw again the past versions. I think it wouldve been fun to see different versions of Jade like the one "who loved Lei the most"... maybe even seeing Jade jealous? Settings to make Jade actually caring about him? Would've make more sense his sudden trust and love in him after all that rape and manipulation.
I'm upset as well that the uneasiness and creepiness of the first season was almost non existent in the second one... I used to really like the thriller and suspense vibes. It made it stand out so much among other bls. The time skip of the last chapter is really disappointing as well, I hate it in every single story and it leaves me with a bitter taste in my mouth because it kind of looks like lazy writing. Time skips like this should be left for side stories/extras, as in sweet stories for when you're missing the characters while last chapters should be for tying up everything but I guess that would've taken more than just one chapter and the author just wanted this to end...
I gave such a good review here in the comments for the first half so maybe that's why I'm so disappointed I had really really high expectations... I really thought the building was going to be novel-Turning level if you know what i mean, the groundwork was surely already there. In the end it was not so bad but it was just such a let down because it could've been so much more

I was waiting for s5 to be completed so i could continue but gun to my head i couldnt tell you what happened since its been an entire year since I've read s4... Guess im rereading this
