She’s just trynna get to know someone who’s closed off so thats not wrong but from our perspective she’s getting in the way of MCs plans so it’s annoying. Like geez, it’s not that deep to hate a character, especially in a unrealistic story like this.

Exactly.... like the character is literally written to be a deterrent to MC’s plans. Us readers know all the pain MC experienced so we want him to succeed. However, since she keeps disrupting his plans and increasing the chances of MC getting caught, readers find her annoying. That’s why it doesn’t matter who was in the role, regardless they are annoying

On god youre forcing it way too much with calling it misogyny, authors making women weak in most stories is one thing but people disliking her because of her personality and not because she's a woman is another. calling it internalized is also a force its deadass just peoples preferences
