The way the author depicts MC’s hands, it’s masculine - the author used the art style as a reminder - it emphasises that the MC is a man, and the realities of this identity. It draws our focus on the constant guilt that eats at the MC as he lives a lie in order to make money for his family. The hands are scarred - representing the youth he gave up working to make ends work, for his family. Yet the one who also gently kisses, and holds his hand is also the ML. Help.
