so when Doc first went over to Hyuk’s place, he saw the yearbook and made a comment on Hyuk’s appearance but then brushed it off (first hint that tells us that they actually know each other).
and then in future chapters, Hyuk reveals how he had a crush/small fling(?) with his tutor during high school but then got his heart broken (second-ish hint that tells us that it is probably the doctor, because its unlikely that theyll introduce a new character).
and now Hyuk is over at Doc’s place and goes through the yearbook! and because the Doc looks and acts different from before, Hyuk now connects the dots that he is the same guy that tutored him in the past!
which will now commence to more drama i hope hehe
For me maybe it is a defense mechanism of the brain (forgetting someone who hurt u deeply). That could also be the reason why he didn't recognized him.
