not sure the full details but he basically wanted her all by himself or something. (like be dependent on him) So he goes to search for the real dukes daughter and betrays her by bringing her back lol. After that the trust was gone and penelope was obv angry. No we can say for sure he betrayed her ,like he was obsessed with her to the extent to join the original fl in her plans ( even though she didn't tell him everything she like used him and used the fact that he like the mc something like that ) and kill the crow prince he want her for him only and can see her with the prince so he decided to "betray" her

He totally lost it when a rumor started that the Crown Prince was in love with Penelope, that's why he decided to bring the original daughter back to the duchy so that Penelope will be kicked out of the house and she would have no one else to depend on except him. After his betrayal, she was extremely hurt and makes it clear to him that he can never have her this way. He tried kidnapping her a couple times but the Crown Prince saves her. He later seemed to have realized his mistake and dies while protecting her, but it turns out later in the side stories that he was actually alive.

I read the novel a long time ago so I don't really remember the exact details but Eclise got amnesia so he doesn't recall anything about the events that had happened during the main story. But he still feels a strong connection with Penelope. I'm not sure about the rest but I think Penelope tells him to start a new life or something but Eclise insists that he would like to stay in the shadows and quietly protect her for the rest of his life.

Thank you for the chapters that youre sharing because of this i got to read another interesting story to brighten my day and to bring me new kind of emotions and experience. I dont really care about the issues people talking about because i just want to enjoy reading, i dont want to be even more stressful. Im already depressed about this covid and i just want to release some emotions by reading mangas. I dont have the money to buy or support the author but at least i can certainly say that i appreciate and love what they do for living. Those people who complain about the plot or the translations maybe they have money because if the uploader stop they dont really care or be affected.
