It's pretty disgusting how some people were suggesting that they'd do this if they had gay brothers. Imagine if their brothers knew their own siblings were having these thoughts. Any relationship they had before would have ended right there. These kinds of people are treating their own siblings as a form of entertainment, not as human beings with a right to privacy.
Exactly, there’s a difference between someone who likes to ready yaoi and someone who fetishizes gay men. People who read yaoi like it cuz it different and they don’t push it onto real life people. It’s honestly gross how they say that they would do this if they had a gay sibling or someone they knew was gay.

I feel super sure now that the artist used Inuyasha as inspiration because not only does the cat dude looks like Inuyasha, but the first shirt he wears is red. Not that I mind. It's like a parallel universe except he gay. Lol.

I think the artist should put the comic on hiatus or spread out the releases and focus on improving their art. Now hear me out. The reason I say this is because a lot of the artists I have encountered online are hobbyists, and pursuing webcomics seem to be on the rise. Many saw how popular webcomics are and are jumping to get in on the action. Webcomics tend to be weekly, so that means less effort on the art in order to submit work before the deadline. There's little time to go back and correct any issues because aside from the actual drawing, the artist needs to consider the story plot points, panel flow, appropriate angles and framing, and more. In addition to this, many artists started off by incorporating the anime style, so there's not much foundation. By foundation, I mean, learning the anatomy of the face and body, studying color theory in order to choose the right colors for mood, time of day, etc. Bascially, studying from life or references and drawing from them. Now this does not mean tracing.
I did compare the first and latest chapter, and there is improvement, but the characters fail to appeal to me as a reader. The major improvement I noticed was actually environment! They are drawn pretty well. However, the characters still look... wrong, for a lack of a better word. It still spells "amateur."
I do find it quite admirable that this artist draws a lot. Comics take time to create. In their Patreon, apparently the comic updates almost daily? But just based on this information, it kind of proves my point that there's so little time in between chapters to focus on the essentials of art. The artist's goal seems to be churning out a lot of chapters. My advice is that if the artist is serious about art, then they need to take a break and practice the foundations. And THEN from those foundations, you can start to stylize to your liking. A lot of cartoonists started off drawing realistic. For example, Rebecca Sugar, who is the creator of "Steven Universe" has done realistic figure drawings ( https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CTU_ZWPUYAArRJ3.jpg) So different from the her cartoon style. But starting from anime and staying anime is not the way to go.
I really enjoyed reading this series, but I was wondering if this was just me. I was actually a bit shocked when I saw what Andou did to Oguma. I know the former did what he did out of retaliation because the latter was going to rape Kishiwada, but anally raping Oguma with a traffic cone was a bit overboard. My personal belief is that no one deserves to be raped. Granted, I have seen worse stuff like that terrible YOI doujin with the toilet cover. I just wanted to point it out since the manga was pretty lighthearted and full of smexiness yet that one scene was a high contrast, in my opinion. Other than that, the manga was really good and quite unique.
Honestly I thought the same thing I even looked like 5 times to make sure what I was seeing was what I was actually seeing. And I didn’t like it at all. So no it wasn’t just you because you’re right no one deserves that. They’re wrong for their intentions of raping but I think there’s another way around it then doing what Anduo did. So I totally agree with you 100%
Despite being explicitly drawn i think that wasnt necessarily the case since oguma would have suffered from serious injury and that would send ando to jail. I think the author just tried to emphasize in a comical manner that ando beat the living shit out of oguma.
Yeah, I think you are right. The artist could have done it a different way though. Oguma was hanging in the air with the traffic cone still in his butt hole, and those cones have some weight to them. Not too heavy, but heavy enough that it should have fallen down by then. Seeing that it was still there makes me believe it was down there pretty deep. I think that in itself is a bit unrealistic since those cones have some girth to them, but the thought is pretty scary. If the manga did treat the issue seriously, Andou definitely would have gone to jail if it was found out. ^^;
Honestly,that's what a rapist deserves.Don't really feel any sympathy for Oguma.It's an eye for an eye.He knew he was in the wrong but he still was about to take advantage of Kishidawa anyway.
I mean, that's true. But I don't think raping another because they raped someone else makes the former a better person.
I might get some hate for this but let's be real. That was clearly intended to be light and funny. When the author had to write scenes where there wasn't consent she made that clear. That one frame was just supposed to be a gag like you see in many shounen manga. Putting things up the butt is usually comic relief and not because of the rape, but because it's funny, like farts. I'm 99.999999% sure that's all it was and that there's being way too much read into this
That may be the intent, but it came out a bit wrong in my opinion. There's always better ways to convey something, and that was not one of them. Why the author chose that as comedic effect, I'm not sure. Even if it is fiction, one always has to be mindful of what message is being sent.
Just to add to this, the manga seems like it's still ongoing. I do not know if the author addresses the aftermath of Oguma's butthole, but I'd be surprise if he came out with light injuries. People can suffer internal damage through the anus, which is why I didn't actually laugh in that panel. I don't think ill of the author. I just think they could gone about it differently. Beating him up to a bloody pulp would have seemed a bit better, considering how much fighting went on in this series.
Agreed.. that one scene was dark in contrast to what you said about the manga being light and funny.
if I were ever in the MC's position in the bathroom, I would use anything around me to use as a murder weapon. Like the shower head, the potted plant, and other items. I understand he's undergoing extreme distress and won't think of such things, but I personally would think about survival first and foremost. Probably because he spent so long with those three and has no family, he's just taking it all in. But one can tell he has moments of clarity and pride and wishes for freedom.
I'm just thinking if I will die in the end, I'll try taking one of them with me. Fuck them.
