for some reason its grown popular and normal to do that. mangago users loveeee reading and complaining about series that have themes they dont like in them from chapter 1 but are still there complaining when nothing has changed 40 chapters in.
lts fair and valid to have themes/ect u dont like and want to read, but then u need to stop reading series they're explicitly in, especially when its that series entire identity! nobody feels bad for u at that point

Agreed! If I start a manga/manhwa and a theme I REALLY don’t like is in it, I just drop it. Like, everyone can like what they like. I’m not going to complain about it, just leave. The only valid complaints are if the story is, like, actually bad or poorly paced, but a theme like age gap is so mundane that if someone doesn’t like it they should just drop it without a word!!

Honestly some of them dont even be that valid. Like one could be 17 and the other is like 20 or 21 and its not even that bad. They should be more worried if its like 17 and 25 or something

Did you even read the post? OP clearly states that even if they dont like something they will continue to read it. Till the end. And continue to complain about. Calling out bs for bs isnt wrong. Yes, and I also read their other replies to understand where they're actually coming from. Going off the og post alone is juvenile because in their own replies they show what they mean. And the overall sentiment of this entire post is about telling people to stfu if they don't like something.

My personal opinion, as long as the age gap isn’t 3+ years if they’re a minor, I don’t mind. If the person is 18+ though, even though they’re in high school I have no problem with any age gaps. This is also my thoughts for people who have a crush on a character, enjoy smut of them, or whatever. As long as the characters are 18+ or turn 18 at some point in the story, I don’t care if someone personally is attracted to them or if there’s an age gap. I know that’s probably a very unpopular opinion though.

But, I personally love Junjou Romantica. Misaki was 18 in high school while Usagi was 28. I do prefer season 2 and season 3 over season 1 though since Misaki is in college then.

This is my personal view on it. But I can definitely see why some other people might be uncomfortable with it.
