I saw a lot of people talking about the girls in the comments but I kinda like them. The fact that Yoshida and Sato aren't together 24/7 and both have their friends and own activities make their relationship look healthier and their moments sweeter and more special.
And before someone says anything: yes, even if they are trying to get with Sato, Sato seems to care about them (especially his classmates) bc they care for him too. And that reciprocation in relationships, also shows the importance of Yoshida in Sato's life. He learned how to connect with other people thanks to Yoshida ♡
No, those girls r literally trying to flirt with a man who already is dating someone else, irl those girls would get beaten up if they tried it with the wrong girl. Sato literally said that those girls would do a whole 180 degree and hate him if he was overweight again, they only like him bc of his looks. Idk how any sane person could ever like those bitches, I'd honestly beat them up if I was the one dating Sato.
As others have said, the girls also don't know what respecting other's boundaries are, and keep pushing them even tho Sato keeps trying to refuse them. If they were boys trying to do that to a girl, I think you'd be singing a different tune...

Also what Sato said comes from his own insecurities we don't know if that's true and probably isn't, because he's not the most reliable narrator specially when referring to other people idea of him (including Yoshida in some moments).
Another thing is that Sato has changed a lot over the series and everyone recognized he's not the same Perfect Guy (tm) he used to be however a lot of the girls still are in love with him and Yoshida recognized them as rivals. The great thing about Suzuki Tanaka is that even the side and background characters are full of personality and had their own story.
And about 'being guys' part I do like Nihida and he's even worse than the girls when we talk about boundaries but nobody seems to be talking about him
