Dropped it
How is that buzzwords? You quite literally dumped your triggers. You’re the one that is dumping something unnecessary bc you want attention. Boo hoo the story is making you flare up. Ok just drop it? Why announce it?
You want attention obviously and I’m giving it to you. Sorry it’s not positive like you expect baby
Really appreciated the way you engaged in this. Was nice to read as it resonated with my own thinking. It’s not often that any kind of SA is properly addressed in a fictional story, in a way that’s linear and gradual and allows you to be in the moment with the characters and feel for them. It’s as much a part of the plot as it is a part of the character; I’ve read too many stories where it was more about the plot than the trauma that shaped the character into who they are.
Also great to read the bit about his borderline personality disorder. I was seeing it but not diagnosticating it for the character for some reason, which is odd because it’s my favorite part about him
You must not have read enough because why are we pretending that litc is the first ever to employ csa to provide psychological depth to a character!?? As if we don't have a myriad of gay stories with similar notion. Yk you are allowed to consume your favorite bl without lying What are these people in my comment.. gtfo
Yes, and I can name some without actively searching for it very easily. And they are very good stories, don't get me wrong. I tend to like more dramatic stories, after all. But after reading a lot of these (and it may not be the experience for everyone), I get it, it can be bothersome. It's almost like, when a character show signs of holding some trauma, I prepare myself expecting something like this.
Maybe their experiences are different, that's all. And I like this series! But I think it is totally possible to like things while being critical of some tropes in the genre, and being tired of them is a completely valid reason to drop a story. You couldn't have been clearer when you explained your reasons. People aren't the same and others quitting things you really like it's something that happens all the time, which is not a demerit to neither.
Fitting ending for alex
