ML remembers everything except MC doesnt at all, although he has nightmares of his first life.

When does the 1st life storytime start?: around chaps 72-73

Whats happening after ch 41 in the manhwa? (upcoming updates):
MC learns about how to make perfume for a few chaps. ML offers MC a whole new perfume company for him under his own name: Sejin, and decides to make MC the ceo of the company. MC meets the employees, have dinner w them, etc.. (theres gonna be 1 sex scene after the dinner w the employees) MC receives the news that his father has been arrested for tax invasion and so on. MC realized that it was ML's doing that his family/haeshin coop. was going down. MC felt devasted bc it was his family but ML did it because MC was being mistreated w his own family and gaslighted by his dad to keep working for him so for MC's sake he exposed them. ML got help from MC's secretary btw. ML's precise reasoning: “In my eyes, they were abusers, but to you, they were the only family you had.”
1-2 chaps later, they have sex again but this time MC asked ML to imprint him since ML was the only one left for MC after the whole family situation, but at the end ML didnt imprint him. MC kind of displeased by this situation, stopped sleeping in ML's room and even kind of stopped talking to him bc ML was the one who cut ties w mc's family and now he was alone but ML refused to imprint him? After a f ew talks, they started talking A BIT ONLY again. ML's grandfather died and his brother also disappeared. MC decided to join the funeral with ML since he wanted to fix things at the same time after what happened w the imprinting situation. (btw this funeral is like 2 days long or smt) During a meal, while they were drinking, ML told MC about his side and how he felt and how he liked MC and he didnt want this to be a contracted marriage and also that MC should be the one to decide if they should date or not. Basically he didnt want to force MC to date him or to be in any forced relationship and do whatever was right for MC. After all that and when they came back home, ML got his rut and they almost had sex. ML ate sleeping pills + inhibitors and said this before he went to sleep: “… … You died before my eyes.” which made MC obviously confused. After that rut, ML decame awfully distant with MC BUT at the same time, MC started opening up abt his insomnia and other issues. Later on, MC finally launched his perfume company but ML never showed up to the opening ceremony. ML started avoiding MC by coming home late often too. Until one day ML told MC to end the marriage and that MC should leave whenever he wanted to. MC was completely dumbfounded and confused bc ML said a few days earlier how he liked him but now he said to leave? He felt betrayed. MC hurried to the study where ML was mid way through packinh/ getting ready to leave, and yells at ML how wrong he was to say that and why he said that. He questionned everything and finally yells ''do u think ill die infront of you?'' (MC doesnt know the context and just repeated what ML said during his rut out of anger) and starts yelling even more and questionned how weird it was for ML to get his heat cycles right everytime and every odd coincidence and if he was ever honest w him. He felt like a pet and an object: he was taken care of but he didnt know anything abt ML at all. ML felt like he didnt hv the right to date MC bc of what hes done (view 2nd paragraph) thats why he wanted MC to leave him (this was not mentionned btw) MC begged ML to let him stay w him and ML finally gave him and they had sex and he finally imprinted him: 1st life memories came flooded in in MC's mind. - 1st life storyline starts-




1st life summary: starts with storytime of MC and how he was adopted by his current father: MC left his abusive parents and clinged on a random rich person which happened to be Haeshin's CEO aka his adoptive dad. MC was later arranged a marriage with ML. ML did not really give a fuck about MC at all tbh: he was awfully dry and only thought of it as a contract. During MC's first heat, he just kinda ignored him, 2ND heat they fucked bc MC asked him to, but keep it mind ML was awfully rude/rough in bed (legit no foreplay+he bled) Later on, both MC and ML started being kind to eachother: they would eat together, greet eachother in the mornings, etc.. MC was FRAMED by his whole family for tax invasion and was sent to prison but luckily ML bought him out of it. Basically MC's family used him so Haeshin company would not get caught in those problems. Basically after he got out of prison, bc of ML, his family totally cut him off. !!! MC was asked to steal a document in Ml's study which MC obviously did for his father way before he was framed by his family since father was like yk how i raised u blah blah.
This sadly was the reason both MC and ML grew apart. While MC and ML were starting to like each other and even having comforting sex, ML felt absolutely betrayed by MC for not being honest earlier about stealing the files and MC couldve even come up with a reason and straihht up told ML he stole it for his own good. ML started ignoring MC around house and it detoriated MC's mental/physical health since he craved love and attention; he starved himself too. One day ML came home drunk and MC begged on his knees to not ignore him and give him another chance and how hed do ANYTHING for ML to forgive him (MC's family alr left him so if ML leaves him, he'll be all alone and he was scared of that) ML forcefully made MC to blowjob him and even told him to act like a prostitute if he wanted to be forgiven. MC throat was swelled up for a few days due to this incident. Meanwhile ML was at a funeral, MC went into heat again but this time ML's brother also randomly came and RAPED the shit out of MC (ch 86) it was disturbely written. MC who got so fucked up after the rape, called his secretary and asked him to pick him up to leave cause he was finally done w this place. ML went to MC's house and noticed how bruised MC looked like and demanded who did that to him, but obviously MC being fed up with the whole situation just told ML he slept w his brother (didnt say it was rape at all) ML being mad, he rapes MC and forcefully imprints him w pain (ugh it was so hard to read that part). Later on, the Moment where MC wakes up from all the sex w ML, hes been brought to ML's mansion again. THIS time he was confined: he can only sleep in ML's bed and if he wanted to leave to another room, he needed his bodyguard to follow him. (its been several months from the raping incident too) MC would starve himself and just felt depressed the whole time. Until the doctor told him he was pregnant: MC didnt know whos child it was; ML's or ML's brother. MC finally had enough and didnt want to give birth to a successor, he went to ML's study and kills himself.

after imprint (2nd life/present): MC still decided to leave ML. ''If you were going to let me know about such painful emotions, you shouldn't have imprinted on me. If you knew that emotions are so contagious, you should have been a little more careful.'' and ended the marriage and left w a suitcase. 3 months have passed and ML decides tomake a random contract/proejct in order to meet w MC bc he missed him dearly. Bc of the contract between MC’s perfume company and ML’s company, they met up every single day in MC’s office (ML wanted to do this for 3 weeks straight since he missed MC sm). After their contract/project which took like a week or so, ML and MC left together and had sex after a company dinner. They had sex bc MC’s heat and ML’s rut aligned bc they eere both imprinted/bonded whatever u call it

I was just wondering, when I was reading this Ch 27 in the raws, like I get it we have Dokkaebi here but, where is the dreaming part? Is it all just Dokkaebi's dream? Like starting from when Minchan entered the mirror, up to the latest chapter, were all of these part of Dokkaebi's dream? And by mountain branches, we'll get more dreams in the future and the plot will expand in a more complex way like the branches of a tree?

So apparently, in Ch 32 to Ch 36, they are inside a memory-like dream. I thought I'd get some answers to my questions but it looks like the authors/artists are saying: "Nope, just not yet" bcs my questions keep piling up the more I read.

As we delve into the story of Minchan's life, I'm getting this feeling that Minchan is not your ordinary human. I might have overlooked this when I made a theory before ( https://www.mangago.zone/home/mangatopic/16283379/) bcs I ALMOST FORGOT THE FACT THAT BODY REGENERATION IS NOT NORMAL lmao why did it slip past my curious mind?

Anyways, Minchan's body heals its own wounds, right? It even reconnected his arm that was entirely cut off without the need for surgery. Maybe that's why Bihwan couldn't believe that Seoho died/reincarnated bcs he knows Seoho is not an ordinary human? (ofc I could be wrong and maybe he's just missing his loml) and I was like: WHAT IF SEOHO IS MORE THAN A HUMAN BUT LESS THAN A DOKKAEBI? Like he can't be at par with, but he has that potential to be a Dokkaebi too? That's why Minchan was able to control Dokkaebi's fire in the hotel?

Therefore, maybe MAYBE the Dokkaebi mentioned in the title is not Bihwan, but Minchan himself? He's alone in the cover, see? And how/why did I come up with that? bcs in Ch 32 to Ch 36 (I won't point out when exactly Bihwan joined Minchan but Minchan went in first), both of them are inside a dream. And the happenings in there are memories of Minchan in modern times, not Seoho.

TLDR; a mere speculation from me that Minchan could be a Dokkaebi.

I think Seoho/Minchan's case might be somehow similar to that of Seth from ENNEAD (also love that they are both redheads).

Seoho might have done something terrible and unforgivable to humanity that this sin of his had resulted in his name being deleted from the register, and for which he suffered the consequences alone. He had to somewhat betray Bihwan (Dokkaebi) in order to get Dokkaebi out of the sight of the other deities and thus be exempted from the punishment. That's why Seoho is the only one being punished, in the form of a curse. With this curse, his reincarnation (Minchan) is getting occasional fevers and the only solution he had back then was to swallow/eat a candy-like soul. Which boils down to one thing - he MUST work hard to kill every single bad spirit he encounters. In doing so, he's indirectly helping to get rid the evil ghosts from this world. It's more like a "clearing" task given to him by the deities as his lifetime punishment. A bit similar to Seth from ENNEAD who is also doing atonement tasks on his journey for his grave sin, guided by his cursed bracelet.

Bihwan (Dokkaebi) might not have been aware of Seoho's sacrifice for him. He mistakenly thought that Seoho had betrayed him in the past, when in fact Seoho did that out of love for Bihwan. He didn't know that Seoho chose to be resented by him rather than have him be punished forever (more like Seoho took all the blame). Also, how did Gwonryeom get his hands on that mirror wherein Dokkaebi was locked up for 1500 yrs? I'm thinking, Dokkaebi and Gwonryeom might have been great enemies in the past life. With his powers, it seems Gwonryeom is some sort of a powerful being. This war mentioned by Seoho might be the one in which Dokkaebi lost to Gwonryeom because Seoho chose to side with Gwonryeom over Dokkaebi.

Gwonryeom might have been interested in Seoho/Minchan (based on subtle hints in Ch 30). Although there's no clear evidence yet, it seems like he's doing something shady (or evil) behind Minchan's back, thinking he's doing it for Minchan's sake. He gives off this obsessive vibe (at least for me) that makes him look like he's indirectly controlling Minchan's life because he's interested in Minchan. Adding Dokkaebi to the mix, I think a love triangle is not impossible, although it will most likely be one-sided from Gwonryeom's POV. Remember Dokkaebi and Gwonryeom once had an ice-cold convo in Ch 14? It just shows that Gwonryeom does not like Dokkaebi hanging around with Minchan.

And how will Minchan regain his past life memories as Seoho? It might have something to do with what Gwonryeom said that his soul was torn into 10 pieces in Ch 4. Once Seoho's soul will be pieced back as a whole, he might regain his past life memories. Though I have a feeling that Gwonryeom intervened with his memories (based on subtle hints in Ch 27 and 30) making it hard for Minchan to regain them.

Again, just thoughts & theory because this manhwa doesn't have a novel.

By the end of Ch 32, ML is about to find out the true reason why is the MC kept on running away or not wanting to come back to him or persistently rejecting his offer despite him telling MC is the only one and no other omega can replace him. Knowing that this "strong evidence" can no longer hide his body's condition, I think in Ch 33 (to be dropped on Saturday KST) MC will finally admit it and that's 25 chapters of chasing since Ch 8 when uke first found out that he is pregnant with the ML's child.








If not in Ch 33, then I might need to read the raw novel and mtl it myself (tho I still have a long list of others to read and this one has like 136 chapters lmao) and maybe figure out when the chasing will stop.








After skimming through the raw novel's last chapter (Ch 136), it seems to have a happy ending, so I'm seated. But so far, this manhwa adaptation is not following the novel's timeline arrangement (based on translations in NU) which gives a vibe that something's off with their age when they had their first kiss (yes, ML was 19 and MC was 14). It's just that the closeness of ML and MC since childhood and the reason behind that kiss were not portrayed well in here. Maybe the artist intends them to be part of some sort of backstory/flashback?

EDIT: I just finished reading the raw novel (mtl) and I'd say the plot is like 88% chasing, 2% redemption, 5% childhood backstory and 5% towards happy ending. The omega keeps on running away and oh I love it lmao though I wished the alpha suffered more.

In the raws, it has already been completed since Dec 2023 with 62 chapters. At the end, they got married, they have a toddler (first child) and another one on the way (mc pregnant with second child). I love the artist for showing his belly even if it's just a couple of panels (─‿‿─)♡




ps. at some point, there's SA, ml r*d mc in front of another man whose limbs are tied in captive (the poor guy can only shut his eyes close while mc is being humiliated in front of him). I hated ml for that. So much! I actually think he deserved to suffer MORE than what he went through during the chasing arc. As for the redemption arc— ok I'll shut up.

ch20 will be action-filled (with some funny dokkaebi scenes), ch21 will be drama-filled (with some seoho backstory), ch22 will have some dokkaebi backstory (with intro to impending smut), ch23-26 will be smut-filled (more intense than the previous one they had, of course with some bantering if you know them), ch27 will have some plot progress (with child minchan backstory) and ch28 will have more plot and then dokkaebi gave minchan a ring! aaaaa he even inserted it into minchan's ring finger and licked it (like I could die happily but no I must see minchan's reaction on ch29) ლ(´ڡ`ლ)

Ch 15 - Eungyo (ML) shows Sunwoo (MC) some top grade medical equipment or lab facilities. MC even tried them firsthand and got a health check up in the most high tech way. Our tsundere ML even held MC's hand while taking some blood sample, oh well... Then the machine declared MC has 92.4% chances of pregnancy, in which MC just laughed out loud, saying it is absurd, like "no way I'm a male, I can't get pregnant" thingy so ML called the staff to check why is the machine not working properly. A staff guessed it could be some blood stain left by a previous visitor who used the machine, but ML checked all the morning data and there's no guest diagnosed as pregnant. So ML told them to check all visitor lists and their diagnoses, while MC is internalizing this diagnosis of him that MAYBE he IS pregnant.

Ch 16 - Setting skip to MC's brother (Sunjoong)'s workplace. MC requested to get an ultrasound so they did. After confirming MC is really pregnant, MC cheered that his experiment was successful as evidenced by the embryo but got an earful from his brother, of course. And when asked who got him pregnant, he said it's ML. MC's brother couldn't believe that his little brother had sex with a "sunbae" but then he advised MC to do the right thing because ML did not know MC is doing such an experiment.

Ch 17 - MC was told to take a maternity leave from lab (minimum of 2 months, maximum of 3 yrs). Also, he was told to get an agreement/consent form from ML, to not mention parental rights/custody, and since abortion is dangerous for his health due to the umbilical cord naturally formed thru cell division attached to an artificial womb, he must give birth. There's a theory that he can only house the fetus at 5 months maximum, then it will be placed in an incubator. The rest is just bantering and advice from Seyoon, MC's legal advisor, with the presence of MC's brother. MC mentioned the incident in Ch 15 wherein ML's company has a comprehensive blood screening machine, that he took a test there and the machine showed a pregnancy result. So he was told to call ML and just say he was taking a hormonal drug as a diet, and that drug increased his HCG which was incorrectly detected as pregnancy. Before MC could call ML, his phone started ringing, showing ML is suddenly calling him.

Ch 18 - Setting skip to ML's workplace, wherein ML recalled (flashback) how MC abruptly excused himself last time (in Ch 15) because of an urgent matter which left ML and his staff confused. Back to present, he received from his secretary the visitors list and rechecking result of the machines and confirmed that they are all working properly. So he called MC and they talked over the phone. He told the MC that the error only occurred to MC so he suggested MC to take another test. MC told him about the HCG diet that he got from his brother and ML believed it considering MC's appetite recently. MC told ML he took a vacation leave due to stress eating, and it will last for about half a year. They ended the phone call with a meet up sched by tomorrow evening because MC mentioned he need ML's help regarding an experiment.

Ch 19 - ML hangs out with his brothers and discuss family matters. ML found out MC has been avoiding him and now MC wants help regarding experiment. He almost cancelled the reservation but glad he didn't. It's just too much discussion, flashbacks and imagery here.

Ch 20 - MC goes to ML's company with the consent form in his pocket, planning to get ML's sign on it. ML already in the lobby so they went out the company bldg. MC's brother reminded him to get the consent form signed, no matter what. It looks like a filler chapter because nothing really happened that mattered.

Ch 21 - I think the first panels were a flashback wherein ML met with his brother, Eunho, and reminded him of their family matters about grandchild thingy. Back to the present time, ML having dinner with MC. MC asked the wrong question that led to ML saying he doesn't have any plans of marriage or raising children (irritated that the word "baby" is a convo topic again). MC asked again IF, like ONLY IF ML did get someone pregnant unintentionally, what would he do. ML said it's the pregnant woman's rights to abort it if she wants to, or give birth, and obtain full parental custody, ML wouldn't mind. ML would give enough child support but no more than that. It ended with ML suspecting the matter relates to MC.

Ch 22 - MC hardly denied it. That he is not pregnant. Of course ML found it absurd, he just thought MC had a one night stand with someone and now asking advice from ML. MC then told it was his brother who had that "incident". There will be some smut panels because ML imagined fucking MC right then and there at the table with all the foods but then snapped out of it when the waitress came in. Also, MC hardly refused ML's invitation to drink some alcohol. In the end, MC did not get ML to sign the consent form (it seems MC teared the paper or crumpled it?)

Ch 23 - MC went to a place called "Daegwallyeong" and texted his brother to not look for him and told him he will come back after giving birth. So Sunjoong, MC's brother, discussed the situation with Seyoon, the legal advisor, that MC ran away to the only place he could think of, their grandfather's house at Daegwallyeong. And all the possibilities if MC will keep it a secret, of course no one will believe MC gave birth to a child. Then it ended with ML trying to contact MC but MC is unreachable.

Ch 24 - It's been 5 days since ML last met MC. ML asked his younger brother, Eunsoo, on what's going on with MC. Eunsoo said MC is on a vacation trip and traveled alone. So ML ordered Secretary Kim to find out MC's whereabouts but Sec Kim reported that there were no news of MC's location, even in SNS. ML figured he could ask MC's brother, Sunjoong.

Ch 25 - ML met with MC's brother and talked about what MC said about the parental rights thingy. Sunjoong then clarified that he is not the one who had that "mistake", but rather, it is his younger brother, MC, who was involved. The whole chapter was just a conversation between these two, with too much imagery and beating around the bush. ML warned Sunjoong to tell only the truth. That's how ML found out MC is avoiding the matter in the meantime, and will come back after 8 months with a baby. In the end, Sunjoong told ML where MC could possibly be, and ML is now on his way to Daegwallyeong.

NOTE: Sunjoong did not exactly say it word per word that MC is pregnant. It's just that MC is involved in a "mistake" which led him to take a vacation leave and come back with a baby. It seems ML is thinking MC had a one night stand with someone and has to take the matter in his own hands secretly.

I just read the last ch from the raw novel (side story 4) which I machine translated on my own because I'm not getting enough with the raw manhua and I'm so glad this will have a happy ending! I'm super satisfied that Leona (the Empress) will be punished and our couple Rishar and Etienne will have children! Yes, not only one, but two! AAAAAAA we're still far from that but my heart is already full just by imagining how their children will look like.
