people are basically saying that bc the author made the characters resemble members from bts they are fetishing them and "basing the story off of real life people" take it as you will but i don't think the author is fetishing bts but is just a fan of the group and based their art style off of the members looks. The actual story has absolutely nothing to do with the members themselves just the characters happen to slightly look like some of the bts members. ╮(￣▽￣)╭ its just my opinion tho i really like this story so maybe i am biased.

Both his relationships are toxic, tbh. Even when he was in a relationship with Yoon, he was against Yoon being a journalist to the point he resented Yoon for it. The latest chapter shows how he didn't really respect Yoon's likes/choices since the very beginning. Basically, he hasn't ever had an honest relationship. He is one of those people who think their partner should be unconditionally giving, without reciprocating it himself.

But didn’t he still let Yoon go be a war journalist(?) despite feeling insecure and really worried? That one flashback to before Yoon set off and then never managed to come back until 5 years later with his state of life and death unknown within that interval? Ig no one will know that this will happen even ex didn’t expect it but like won’t you still be worried for ur partner that’s running off to a country that’s currently unstable and in midst of war? Or some conflict?

Like he understand photography is Yoon’s passion hence he brought that camera for Yoon for his bday w his savings back when they’re still in hs. That’s pretty significant tbh. There might be times when he doesn’t support some of Yoon’s decision but in the end didn’t he still let Yoon do what he wants despite his thoughts? He still put in effort to understand Yoon and support him. In the long run I don’t believe that love could last forever even in irl but rather more in companionship and each other’s putting some effort to support each other, and wasn’t that basically ex and Yoon throughout that 8 years they were dating together? There was love and companionship.

We could totally be really bias here and think director(?) kwon is a better than ex and a much better match. Yes he might be a better match since their interest aligned and wasn’t kwon also a foreign country news photographer (bc he mention he saw his friend dying in front of him when a bomb went off) just like Yoon’s profession? So he def understands yoon passion for photography bc same mind. But that doesn’t mean the relationship between Yoon and ex had was toxic right? Just bc someone might be a better match for Yoon and ex was not as understanding enough than kwon doesn’t makes him inferior than kwon(uhh well it’s arguable if ur talking about the ability to understand Yoon more) or their relationship toxic.

Irl lets say u have a partner that you’re in relationship w and sometimes u don’t understand them in some aspect even when talking it out but still tries to understand meanwhile a third party understands more in depth about that than u. Does that mean you guys are mismatch and are in toxic relationship? Does that mean u should give up on ur partner bc their “better” match showed up to you’ll life?

Honesty just like we’re bias to our main characters and the story main ML, I’m also bias to this ex and his situation is really awkward. He mourn really hard during the years when Yoon went missing. Even when Yoon’s parent given up and start to accept Yoon might lost his life never come back he was still desperate and was still looking for him. Esp when people in the comment gave some spoilers that the way his official dating stauts w his new bf started out really sus and toxic as he might be a victim. I also want him gone and not get in the way of Yoon’s finally giving up and moving on. But more than 13 years of knowing Yoon (8 year dating + 5years mourning Yoon’s disappearance + other childhood years of knowing each other since the summary and goon said they know each other since birth so idk when) there’s no way he’ll forget or not worry about Yoon even as a close friend and not to say that he even loved Yoon for so long and he never stop loving just reality forced him to try to move on (when Yoon awol). Sighsss poor child I hope he breaks up w his ex and focus more on his mental state just like how Yoon is taking time to think for himself and his future w/o ex

Actually it was weirder that ML kept holding onto that grudge and toyed with MC a decade after it happened, as some kind of petty revenge. I mean sure, to a teenager it's pretty upsetting to hear that they aren't pretty/handsome enough for their crush, but MC wasn't cruel about it. He simply said "no, sorry" and told him why. He didn't laugh at him, didn't mock him or insult him. He took his time to properly reject him, despite being called away, and that's it. Yet ML was a jerk to him after such a long time, despite still liking MC and obviously knowing that MC likes him, which should have been something to be happy about. Weird.

Good thing that he didn’t give him a false hope, but in my opinion “I won’t date you because you’re too ugly” is way too harsh, especially for a teenager. Which doesn’t change the fact that adult ML was a total jerk

Not everyone understands tactfulness at the high school level- remember that incident happened in HIGH SCHOOL NOT NOW when they are adults. But then again everyones' experiences during their school years are different. If all your classmates were tactful and sweet good for you, but for the majority of us- not so much.

And yeah, ML as an adult (like alll of us) he was a jerk and still can be sometimes.

Well at the end of the day none of them is innocent (even tho we know who did worse things). And if we talk about high school experiences, then ofc there are awful incidents, but I’m just a sucker for nice and nontoxic relationships in manhwas that’s why I’m not a big fan of their attitude (▰˘◡˘▰)
