The smut is ok, not a big fan. I don’t really know enough details about each character specifically, but I do want to talk about the advisor. I’m really hoping she’s a villainess, not for the plot of being in love with the king but because she seeks power or revenge of some sort. Tired of girl villains being the lotus trope let women be evil because they want to be.
God, as someone who’s polyamorous myself, my partners and I have dealt with similar issues. Especially since there’s the whole “you can only have one person and if you pick two you’re selfish. Then the whole “oh but you can’t be happy with this, and blah blah blah” Everyone’s gonna have an opinion on how you live your life. I think as long as all individuals who are not just consenting but also communicating on their thoughts and feelings, then it really shouldn’t matter what others says.

Funny enough, it’s was the three of us who were really good friends. I ended up developing feelings for one of them but didn’t want to ruin the friendship, then next thing I know the two of them ended up dating instead lol. They still made time to hang out with me and I guess because we all had a very good chemistry, they also wanted to try out dating another person as well. Obviously there was a bit of hesitation because we were all kinda new to it, I was afraid I was gonna be treated like a unicorn (bisexual woman who sleeps with an existing couple composed of a heterosexual male and bisexual woman without the expectation of emotional intimacy) but luckily it all worked out. I think as long as those you’re including into the relationship all consent to having another person join, also working with how to resolve jealousy, establishing boundaries, it all makes up for a healthy relationship.
