As a person who's never liked shota I actually searched it up and guess what I found out: Japan's legal consenting age is 13...
and what's even worse is, mangakas specifically make the character younger than 13 in shotacon :D
I tried finding literally ANY reason why shotacon wouldn't be considered pedophilia but, big surprise, it's exactly the same......
