If Joowon stans “toxic”, then why Taku stans disrespecting the author all the time??? Saw a reply on Tiktok that claimed the author was bribed by Joowon stans to make Joohae endgame... underneath a tiktok abt Joowon’s billboard post. and yall gave it 1k likes. Stinky stans with no reading comprehension.
Fun fact: Yeongdam posted one sketch on their twitter in 2018 before LOH was even published. You know what the sketch was?? Joohae kissing— in a panel we’ve never seen in the story (YET hehe). The ending was decided before the story even started. Yeongha knew what she was writing from the start <3 And thats why she titled the story Love or Hate. It was always about Haesoo’s conflicting feelings for Joowon. Go read his confession to Joowon at the hospital again.
ikr!!! it looks so intimate and peaceful :") it feels too different to be joohae from the first 20 or so chapters where they were actually together on screen. Like Haesoo never initiates a kiss like that.
So I really hope I'm right and its actually their relationship after the timeskip!! (I will scream if we get this panel in the last couple chapters omg)
idk why Taku stans hate Joohae so much when your king himself is the biggest Joohae stan ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
He first grew interested with Haesoo after reading his story about his relationship with his stepbrother J. And now he says that what he loved most about Haesoo was his unwavering eyes for Joowon /SCREAMS/
Notice how the Joowon stans dont start any shit until Taku stans get real brave in the comments and start calling Joowon names for no justified reason and act like Taku deserved Haesoo? Like no he didnt. He manipulated and took advantage of Haesoo constantly. He said multiple! times! that he literally felt good off of Haesoo's misery because he felt "needed" by Haesoo. Joowon would never. He actually wanted Haesoo to be happy even if it was with another man.
I mean Joowon treated Haesoo like trash too, let's not pretend their relationship before Taku was wholesome or anything, but in the end, Taku's the heartbroken one and Joowon gets to live happily ever after. Honestly, everybody in the fic needs therapy regardless lmao, like this whole thing could've been prevented if they sat down and talked about it.
I mean ofc, I never claimed their past relationship was HEALTHY. They needed to communicate better 200%. Haesoo treated Joowon badly too, manipulating and provoking him to make him angry/jealous. Joowon also got arrogant and thought Haesoo would never leave him because of how many years this ambiguous r/s had gone on without Haesoo actually expressing that it hurt him.
However it grew clear as the story progressed and we saw Joowon's perspective without Haesoo's biased narration that Joowon genuinely loved Haesoo from the start. He had good intentions for keeping their relationship ambiguous, but it started their toxic cycle in the first place. So good intention led to harmful outcome. The whole point of my comment is talking about their intentions/motivations! Joowon never wanted to hurt haesoo and actually loved him. And it was the opposite case with Taku... who wanted to use Haesoo and then throw him aside like his past models.
Also after their breakup Joowon literally called Haesoo and told him he'll always be on his side in any way Haesoo wants him to, be it a brother or a friend. He couldve been hurtful too consider all the shit Haesoo said to him and how Haesoo is at fault for their r/s too! But he wasnt and it proved at end of the day he wanted Haesoo to be happy even after Haesoo told him to his face that he's going to Taku. Meanwhile Taku.... said stuff like "i hope youre unhappy and regret breaking up with me" during their breakup (which we'll see in a chapter or so).
yeah i agree they could use some therapy.
i mean joowon was purely desperate to haesoo, saying "if i give up everything, then can we be okay?" --he actually wanted to give up everything for HS. and haesoo said to him "dont think about ever seeing me again". joowon never wanted that and their break up wasnt mutual.
yeah taku can be bitter ig.... i just wont like him for it lol
in the end, it comes down to my viewpoint and personal experience. to me love isn't "i hope youre unhappy". if you truly loved the person, youre not gonna say stuff like and purposely try to make them feel bad. This mainly applies when they didnt wrong you: which taku said in this chapter haesoo was good to him and didnt do anything wrong. Even if you THINK it, theres a difference between that and saying it to their face. haesoo didnt deserve to hear that and taku knew it too but was being selfish~ so thats just my take.
Not yall being like "Huhuhu poor Taku. he's such a ✧gem✧ for breaking things off well"
...Meanwhile... 2 chapters later: "Haesoo, I hope you're unhappy and regret dumping me"
LMAO now why would haesoo regret it, after you go and say shit like that???
╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ If I were haesoo i'd be like "phew, dodged a bullet there!"
taku, our fav resident manipulative boy <3 inserting fav comment from LOH section: http://www.mangago.zone/home/mangatopic/9517513/
Lemme just say: i'd pick a man that was willing to drop everything for me and genuinely loved me start to end for 10 whole years too.
With haesoo/joowon's relationship, i dont know why readers act like theyre inherently a bad pair, while ignoring their whole environment and outside pressures that caused their unhealthy dynamic?? idk about you but it sounds crazy hard to try navigating a relationship as a little highschooler with a step sibling for 3 years, and even after you werent step siblings your parents were constantly trying to rip yall apart, causing abandonment issues and misunderstandings, and the public is watching your every move too?? how does that sound easy for them to deal with no matter how genuinely they love each other??? T^T if yeongha erased their step sibling history, and maybe changed Joowon's career into something less public, I believe Joohae literally would have few to no problems in their r/s.
Also I feel so bad for Joowon. He literally spends majority of the manhwa suffering. Like he was under so much pressure from family, work, public, even leo's schemes... and yet his intentions and love for Haesoo was pure from start to middle to end (no not like taku trying to get with Haesoo to use him for self-interest sake lol). And the way he unconditionally supported and showed love for Haesoo even when HS said all that shit to him during their seperation and went to taku... yeah i knew he was a keeper after that. And ofc let's not forget that he actually had the most development in LOH as a character too and changed in the best ways.
Wait wait, I just realized Taku's story is so deliciously IRONIC
Remember how Taku always PRETENDED to love his past partners. Whenever he'd comfort them or kiss them, he was just mechanically doing it out of habit (like the guy on his sex tape), and not cause he liked them or anything. So when Taku says to Haesoo "it's okay if you just pretend to love me", he thinks it'll be easy. He'd been doing the same thing to other people for so long, he figures: whats the harm if I'm on the receiving end this time?
And then Taku actually grows attached to Haesoo, and finally gets to feel similarly to what his past lovers received. And it shows him how "pretend" love just isn't enough, and actually hurts more than comforts you. Karma bit him in the butt ig.
Cool, I love Yeongha ヾ(☆▽☆)
This! I see a lot pf people blaming Haesoo and saying that Joowon is toxic but they fail to realize that Taku is also toxic. All characters had character development and everyone already read this story knowing that Haesoo and Joowon were endgame. Taku approached Haesoo knowing that he didn’t love him and had eyes for someone else and yet he coerced someone who wasn’t ready to love into having a relationship. So in the end no one is to really blame and Yeongha is a fantastic author ( ̄∇ ̄)
Actually, this is a pretty cliched plot device for yaoi. At least from what I’ve read.
boy 1, highly sought after and arrogant, routinely uses partners and discards them when bored, no feelings of love/attachment until... one day....
boy 2 comes into his life. Something stirred in that cold heart, he was unfamiliar with the sensation....could it be? Love?
yes i understand that! but the thing is, its a refreshing take cause yeongha doesnt portray this desirabley. like taku is not endgame... because his love for haesoo was very selfish and the whole point of this story is that selfishness gets you nowhere in love (while joowon was selfless for haesoo). and even if his cold soulless heart his moved, its not as if his feelings are reciprocated. instead taku just gets karma because now the roles are reversed (haesoo merely pretends for him, and doesnt love him). so it's a lesson for him, rather than a love story lol
i cant believe i had to read an angry comment in the latest reviews that claimed "taku was ready to give up his career for haesoo but he chose the stupid stepbrother that manipulated him". like tf where??? Literally, the only character that gave up any bit of their career in this story for love was Joowon.
Adult Joowon: let the public trash his name, and had a whole acting gig dropped just cause he wanted to protect Haesoo and not get him involved in the bullying scandal.
Teenager Joowon: almost got suspended which would ruin his acting debut, just to protect Haesoo yet again!
Meanwhile on the exact opposite end of things: Taku entered a relationship with Haesoo to FURTHER HIS CAREER. "I want to see the kind of story he writes when I'm gone" ...proving Leo's point about how Taku uses and drops his models, and was planning to do the same with Haesoo until he got attached smh. Anyway the lack of reading comprehension with some of yall is absolutely embarassing.
yooo omg, I was trying to hit the "+" sign to read that nonsense review fully, and I accidentally ended up hitting "agree" instead. AND MANGAGO DOESNT LET YOU UNDO IT!!
absolutely sickening i tell you (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
at least i doubt with that middle school level of reading comprehension, we know they didnt spend a penny on the story lol
lmao joowon has done nothing but breathe and get into a car crash in 40+ chapters. and taku stans still want to trash him as if it makes their emotionally manipulative fav look better. i mean do yall see all this: http://www.mangago.zone/home/mangatopic/9517513/ ???
also as if trashing joowon excuses taku's lack of good development (unlike joowon)... anywayy waiting for chapter 99 where he shows more of his ugly colours during the final conversation between him and haesoo.
As for what was said in that chapter: we all sleep well knowing joowon would NEVER, and in fact: DIDNT, when haesoo broke up with him (▰˘◡˘▰)
you are telling something about taku stans and YOU are here shading first? i am not even a taku stan but you guys took it too far taku is a great writen character as well as joowon, they are both humans and have their mistakes you are making it seem like if someone is not perfect they are bad person
and just so I add I don't think taku deserves to end with hesoo I am just saying that everyone makes mistakes and he still didn't realise the ones he is making in the end I hope he is going to find someone who is going to change him, help him be a better person
im clearly saying this in response to the shitty comments about joowon before me ....? who is shading who first ?
i have legitimate reasons from recent chapters to express why taku is crappy. what has joowon done in the past 40 chapters other than get character development for me to see senseless hate about him here ??? bringing up his name up won't make taku look better and people should know that lol
I am literally going to laugh my ass off if taku Stan's still choose to ignore the next chapter
They are so good at ignoring the bad points of taku, let's see their response next chapter
i understand that everyone makes mistakes and i dont hate taku as a character that much. i just dislike his fans because they seem to think bringing joowon up and calling him "tOxIC" proves their point taku is a better character. news flash: it doesnt! especially not when he's underdeveloped compared to joowon, and his feelings for haesoo are nowhere as sincere or strong as joowon's.
yeah i hope taku finds someone that helps him become a better person too ( ̄▽ ̄)
Ikr? Why are they even calling him toxic though? Some of them are blind ngl
i saw it all on twitter already. they excuse him by saying his actions are "realistic" and hes just being honest and apparently they would do the same
like wow~ didnt know you were in a relationship where you asked a person who is in love with someone else to use you. and then when the other person didnt like you back after a 1 month (even though they tried), you told them you hope theyre unhappy haha
their comments are baseless. its as if they act like we dont understand joowon's perspective now, and why he acted in the ways he did. they also buy too much into haesoo's unreliable narration. joowon made some mistakes, but he had good motivations and fixed anything he felt he did wrong and had many good realizations. "toxic" is honestly a meaningless word at this point.
oh sorry then i didn't saw you were responding to someone, and yeah i do agree with you that bringing someone down is not gonna change anything
i totally agree with you on that one but i think takus feelings for haesoo were strong but he expresses them in really wrong and manipulative way that is not healthy in relationship so thats were we can say he is ,,toxic,,
okay sure, i see what you were saying ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ thats another way to look at it.
also, i wasnt responding to anyone *directly* but i saw like two comments trashing jw just because they liked taku, and then i made my comment as a kind of indirect response
