I have a theory that the dreams that she gets are actually real athys memories that was never shown in the actual novel. Which is why whenever the ghost woman appears, its actually the real athy and not athys mother, which we all have been suspecting. It's just a theory but I've reread the chapters and there have been a couple clues, for example when she began crying for no reason, but kept repeating how she felt like she had gone through this before or how there was a small memory of Jeanette and eziekyal engaged and he keeps staring at athy. Yeah it changed after a season passed, probably cause the author envisioned it differently so the artists changed it according to her will .. or something else. but I do prefer his original drawing
