Idk if it still works but I used to have skyvpn u can use that free w ads, depending on how many ads u can get like an hour or two of usage
I use Proton vpn but on the free version you can't pick which country you want to 'be' in, like it automatically picks for you. apart from that there's no ads or anything

You can download the opera app and use their vpn and they have an ad blocker too
If you're using any web browser, urban vpn proxy extension is really good
