Idc what anyone says, I've liked Heonjae from the start. Don't get me wrong, Jingi is cool too, but he's so...ordinary. Heonjae's shy and timid personality combined with his trauma and obsessive spect makes him so much more intriguing to me. Plus, he's so cute looking. Idk, I find it hard to really give a shit about Jingi beyond his looks
So the guy who cut his teachers legs off ,who is a violent psychopath , who’s manipulating the mc for his own interest and also just might be the reason his brother dies is more intriguing than jingi who is slightly a better human than him ?

Are you genuinely dumb? Why do you think Myeong il had such a strong reaction to that letter? Cause it had something to do with why Jingi was in jail. Reading comprehension/context is not common apparently.

Yes? That's what intriguing means. Interesting. Captivating. It does not mean morally superior. If I were reading stories for moral lessons, I'd pick up Aristotle's works. Like I said in my original comment, I find Jingi boring. That doesn't mean that that won't change in the future, but as it is now, his brother is leagues before him in terms of bringing forth enjoyment when reading. I do find it amusing that people try to apply real-people ethical standards on fictional characters within a book about prison rape. This genre isn't exactly made for nuanced takes on validity of their actions, if it was, it'd end with Myeong getting therapy and both brothers getting punished for their actions. I don't need to point out the amount of fetish sex scenes in comparison to those portraying the psychological consequences of sexual abuse in prisons, yeah? Heonjae interests me more because there is actual substance to him. I want to see how far he will sink to get what he wants and how, in retrospect, it will affect both Myeong and Jingi. Perhaps his actions will finally push Jingi to be more than a pretty face, so I can have that inkling towards him too. Only time will tell
Honestly, Heonjae's stupid face makes me sympathize with him again and again. Just look at him. He's so scary and cute at once. Like a Grizzly Bear in desperate need of therapy... ( ̄へ ̄)
