I keep seeing so many people shit on Chungi/green haired guy but I think it was valid for him to feel uneasy/lonely at how Jiho treated being gay as something to hide, and I also think its valid for Jiho to feel scared about being found out, because I have been on both ends of this experience before and it is definitely a complex and frustrating thing given how the world is.
When you don't know how people would react, especially your own family, it makes you want to crawl into a corner and hide away. Even more so when you witness obnoxious assholes like the blonde guy and the black haired guy at Heeyoung's wedding, and also when people close to you unknowingly say things that can hurt you (Like how Jiho felt hurt at what his 2nd sister Jimin said to him: "Its not like you're gay!").
That being said, Chungi and Jiho both definitely did toxic things to each other, Jiho technically took Chungi for granted (and Chungi did the same to Jiho too), and Chungi was trying to interfere with Jiho and Inwoo's established relationship.
Inwoo is also not perfect, he has his own set of flaws too; he is anxious and has some attachment issues as a result of his childhood trauma.
I think the way the author has written these characters is done very well and in a very realistic manner, the characters are not perfect and have their own flaws which they will need to confront and address in order to grow and develop as individuals, and together as a couple (for Jiho and Inwoo), and together as a family (Jiho and his family, and for season 3, Inwoo and his mother).
ILY FOR THIS TY <33
I've been seeing so many people shit on Chungi for his actions. While I do think what he's doing is wrong, it's very understandable and realistic for him to be acting like this and I empathize with what he's feeling. It's been a bit frustrating for me to see people just hate on him endlessly (though justified in a sense) without understanding the nuance of his feelings/the situation.
THIS IS A REALLY WELL WRITTEN STORY, i finished the novel (its a danmei) back when the fan TL was still up and its soooo good, seven seas will release the first volume of the eng TL in june-ish this year so check it out because its a very good story, and worth the high ratings it has on both douban and novelupdates!
Hello, I intend to pick up this manhwa and have already inquired after the previous uploader (of chapter 4) if they did not mind my doing so, to which they said they didn't.
If you are already working this project however please tell me (maybe on the message wall on my mangago homepage) and I will stop what I'm doing :)
I have cleaned chapters 5 and 6 and intend to upload them after typesetting and after mangago actually approves my uploads, and if there is no one else already working on this.
Hopefully I can survive taking on this project lolol (It's already complete, 40 chapters total).
Just when I thought it was over - BAM - more suffering.
This is a difficult read, even with the ending showing closure and hope for the future, it still felt so - just not enough.
Mainly because I'm still waiting for the author to send all those bastards, Michael and those other guys who were swinging their appendages around and think they're 'oh-so-great', to the lowest level of hell.
(But before they do, I want to punch each and every one of them in the face with a gloved hand - why gloved? Because I don't even want to touch their disgusting faces directly)
I totally agree with you about the part where the Mfukers should be in hell but I think the ending was the most realistic as it could be. Justice isn't always served, in most manhwas I've read the evil guys always get to have a taste of their own medicine (which is gret ngl) but this work does not do that and I think that's what separates it from the rest. It's better for a Sehyun to let them go rather than bear grudges, and since the story focuses more on the main characters I feel like there wasn't any need to explicitly show how the villains suffered in the end (or even if they did not). It is ideal to punish the rapists and the others for their deeds but this is not always the case in real life. (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)
