ok it was confusing but mainly cus i forgot the entire story. its more simple than it seems when u bottle it down. neways im gonna try and sum it up in simple sentences

backstory: kei and youichi r only survivors of a crash. shinigami appears before kei. kei has desires to write a lot after this. he doesnt specifically like doing it hes just cursed by shinigami. when he writes the person his character is inspired by dies. kei feels guilt. stops writing bc of this. youichi pov: after crash youichi lives at prostitution house turned into fancy inn place later cus of law. anyways, life is empty. one day youichi sees snippit of random movie and catches a quote that intrigues him. finds out writer is the other boy that survived crash. falls in love w his films. loves photography. life is fun.

main story: THEY MEET RANDOMLY. youichi takes kei in and recognises him. he shows kei how he impacted him and his photography. kei looks at the photos and is moved by how youichi creates something so warm of human life compared to himself who kills people bc of his writing. hence youichi cant take a perfect photo of kei bc unlike warmth of human life kei brings death w his writing. they begin to hang out after this meeting. kei notices that his desires are overwhelming cus of youichi. kei distances himself from youichi. kei doesnt want to write but his desires/youichis presence make him want to. he feels suffocated without fufilling his desire to write tho. kei gets letter from his usual production agency "nissho pictures" to write a story. kei reunites with youichi. he just reads books to sustain his desire to write. but after meeting youichi he cant hold his desires back anymore. they make love. youichi convinces kei to write a story about the two of them one day. kei is convinced to write again and promises his work will never kill again and he'll break shinigami curse.

kei finishes the story. no bad dreams no shinigami appears word stop flowing. things looking good. film production starts.kei and youichi have goal to impact people for good. then they both have same dream where youichi is choking kei saying their goal is a lie and kei just desires both of them to be dragged down and die together. kei wake up and is scared but youichi is smiling. youichi is slowly becoming keis shinigami.

kei is writing another story. fight happns at the inn and youichi says things that r exactly like in keis story even though kei has never shown anyone. youichi is becominf more like his shinigami. youichi basicslly wants kei to write about them so they die together. kei just wants youichi safe. 'nissho prictures' guy tells kei to solve this by writint his next story about kei himself as a sacrifice. kei agrees and leaves youichi to set him free.


andddd thats basically it so far. feel free to ask or discuss. i didnt want to make it too long but its fucking massive now eh idk why i put sm effort into rhis its not really my fav story or anything╮(￣▽￣)╭

if anyone is curious, i’ll just answer the two biggest questions. (iirc)
yoonsung learned hakyung was a boy in the villa when they first went out to drink. the reason he angrily kissed hakyung after they got out of the car and asked “are you just doing this because its part of the script” or whatever was because he was wondering if hakyung secretly felt disgusted kissing yoonsung (a guy) and felt like he was forced into dealing with it because his family was paying him to act like a girl. yoonsung admitted he literally had no issue with hakyung being a man.

present yoonsung actually has known hakyung to be jinyoung since they went BACK to the villa to pack up the luggage. he said everything hakyung did, was overlapping with his memories and they all came back. ehehehe so every chapter from here on, yoonsung knows :3

ALL PLOT TWIST SUMMARY:

Since I saw a lot of people asking for spoilers I will share whatever I remember.

YOOSUNG KNOWING TRUTH
Yoosung already knew that Hakyung was a man. He knew this from when they went to the restaurant in ch 30. Yoosung already had suspicions before but when Hakyung was drunk he talked in "male" pronouns ig like "hyung" etc so Yoosung confirmed he was a man. So yes he liked Jiyoung knowing it was Hakyung pretending to be her.

GRANDPA KNOWING TRUTH
When his son brought like 1/2 fakes grandpa already had suspicions so he made his own men investigate what happened to his friend and her granddaughter so he aready knew Jiyoung had died. He still softened upto Hakyung and kept him by his side because he knew he must have been someone close to her knowing how much he knew about her. So yes grandpa knew the truth the whole time too.

YOOSUNG'S 1st ACCIDENT
What happened was the grandpa fell ill and hospitalized so Hakyung's "role" as Jiyoung was coming to an end and before leaving, since he truly liked Yoosung, he was about to tell him the truth. But before he could they had to rush to the hospital cuz grandpa's health was failing so to say goodbye to him. During their way to the hospital the car crashed. When Hakyung woke up, Yoosung was still in a coma and grandpa had died so they both couldn't say bye to him at the end and Yoosung's father told Hakyung to go now telling they will tell Yoosung he died in the crash. They also made him leave their engagement ring behind.

YOOSUNG'S 2nd ACCIDENT
When Yoosung woke up he asked where Hakyung was and his family told him he died and he was like bullshit and tried searching for him for many days. Even when he was still recovering he drove to the villa to find clues which Hakyung may have left but when Yoosung's father gave him the ring he believed Hakyung died. He thought Hakyung would never take off the ring even when leaving so this meant he had really died he drove off but the car failed having an accident from which he was saved. NOTE THAT IN THE NOVEL IT'S HEAVILY IMPLIED THAT THE ACCIDENT WAS POSSIBLY YOOSUNG ALSO TRYING TO K*LL HIMSELF. So he lost his memory and when Hakyung called him in ch21, he had already lost them.

MEMORY RECOVER
Ok so basically what Yoosung saw in the box in ch 41 which made his expression strange was the engagement ring he gave to Hakyung in the past. It made him remember all the above things so from ch 42 onwards he remembers but isn't telling Hakyung cause he is scared he will leave.

WHERE TO READ THE NOVEL
There is no full translated version. Even I don't remember where I read it cuz it was almost 1 year ago I just typed the name on Google. So I am sorry I can't help there so I tried to summarize the best way possible. Some of the details here and there may be a bit off due to memory lol but basic story is this.
