That's irony and hypocrisy at its best .... "She even said no posting without permission". Permission from whom? The author who also didn't give her permission to translate the work? Do you people have any shame? The only person who has copyright rights in this story is the author. Period. Every illegal translator is subject to being caught and have legal issues, especially if they break the 'thieves' rule of stop translating if the story is licensed in English like this one. The other irony is that if the translator had not made such a fuss trying to own rights that were not hers, it wouldn't have attracted so much attention here. If you are doing something illegal, best advice is not cause a polemic in the fandom that will get attention to what you are doing.

Somethings wrong with you argument. The author is not the one who as the right to the copy right it's the company mrblue which has licences the English translation right to Tappytoons. Now if you actually read the (unofficial) translators notes she mentions that Tappytoons had known about her translations for a while but choose not to do anything that is till it was posted to mangago to which they now sent her a cease and desist. So though they didn't have permission they didn't see them as a problem till it was uploaded here.

Dumbass, that's the difference between the two of us. I am not the one shaming you for reading stories here. I am calling off the hypocrisy of 'don't repost without consent' that you are complaining about when the translator did it without consent of the author. Get it, dumbass? The translator can't claim copyright rights of something she doesn't own. That's is what you all preachers are basically doing. Get a brain.

If it's the author or the company, point is that illegal activity has no rules or expectation of 'getting away with it'. It's ridiculous to take a content that it's not yours and claim copyright rights ( basically the 'don't post without consent'). That's is what I am arguing. Maybe the point was that tumblr translation was for a few so basically the pirate work was for a select group who knew it existed so basically what the select group is complaining about is that their mooching got spoiled because suddenly the door was opened for everybody. But that's the deal with doing/pirating something, isn't? You can't have control over it because basically you do not have any rights on it and more to it --- you are liable for doing an illegal work. If mangago or any other high traffic site, this illegal translation ( even more so because usually translators stop when it's English licensed) was bound to be spread all over at some point. You can't claim copyrights to something you don't own. You can't expect that someone will not do to your 'work' ( in this case translation) what you did with somebody's else work. It's was illegal and the expected happened. End of story.

actually I'd like to correct you on something. the reason why I didn't want my translations to be reposted anywhere else wasn't because I was deluded into thinking that I had a copyright to the translations; I didn't, I don't, and I'm aware of this (trust me, I'm aware. I'm a content creator myself). the reason I didn't want my translations to be reposted anywhere was because, well, you know, the whole issue that blew up (just letting you know in case you didn't notice yet).
I never claimed to own the copyright for the translations, but did it ever pose a problem in the past? No. The official licensed translators even KNEW that I've been translating CBAW for months before. But because it got reposted, THEN it became a problem, which was what I wanted to avoid.

(honestly have no idea how to navigate mangago actually I only have an account to monitor the drama that goes on down here but if you need my email they're in the credits page of the translations that were, of course, uploaded without consent uwu)

The plot was smth along the lines that the bottom was a knight or prince fighting demons to protect his country and was cursed and the top was a divine wolf that helped him break it? The wolf guy was super built and had long white hair and glittery blue eyes
The translator dropped this now. Thanks. You should've asked if you could post this here. She even said no posting without permission
Well yea know the artist also said not to post it without permission, but yea know
Who cares gimme gimme
