TBH I'd probably kms if I was him like I just wouldn't have the will to live like that anymore and truly these are people intentionally trying to hurt him, I don't think they would just let him go. They also have connections and money, like he'd have to be on the run for the rest of his life- even if they didn't go after him for that long, the paranoia and fear would take over. But like I also like this, get them to kill each other or ruin each other. Reminds me of The Beast Must Die where ML frames everyone and they turn on each other.
