The ML for sure but her mother? She made her the way she is. Think objectively she is trying her best to save her mom from the time she was a little girl. Except for her mother’s symptoms transfer to her after every treatment. So she’s dying every time she helps her. And I imagine as she got older the pain only got worse. That is still abuse even if the mother was also in pain. Like that sucks for the mom but if I was dying and someone told me I could live they just had to kill my dog instead I’d say “my time has come” how could a mother knowingly transfer her sickness to her child
