this is a really small? big? explanation ver of of the plot so people are able to grasp an idea of what's going on while reading and wont be lost since im seeing a lot of people being confused if i get anything wrong, please do correct me and get ready to see a lot of "i guess" because kagami's writing game is straight up ASS !!!

1. yuu = actually mika, mika = actually yuu.
shikama doji (first vampire of the world) was previously an angel whose goal was to create a cure for a disease that angels were catching. he created mika to find out what the cure was, knowing that if the heavens found out he made mika then he would've been prosecuted. yuu (the eyeball) was created to keep an eye on mika
after being found out and being punished for being a sinner and after mika had committed suicide, shikama's goal turned into reviving mika. he made yuu create a bunch of humans after finding out that he could create humans, however one of the humans could communicate with mika, who died. mika took control of that human and told yuu, the eyeball, to switch identities with him so shikama would not know about mika being alive. hence, yuu turned into mika and mika turned into yuu. mika and yuu are basically like, really old. they've been in the world since the ages of dinosaurs. iirc, everything going on right now takes place in 2020 or 2021 so

^ this explains why yuu has an angel in him (i guess), why he can read angelic texts and why sword mika has an eyeball on it

2. guren and mahiru's goal is to bring back all dead humans, while all (or most) of the vampires have a collective goal of wanting to die since they've been alive for 10+ decades. i guess the method which guren are using involves in vampires and demons dying, which is why vampires were working with mahiru and guren. this also involved in mika having to die, so yuu decided to ditch everyone else and do his own thing with mika. right now, the shinoa squad's goal is to retrieve yuu. shinoa wants to bring back yuu and she'll even kill mika if it means that yuu will come back.

tl;dr for the shinoa squad's goal right now: friendship is magic and with that magic they'll bring back yuu

3. regarding ferid, i guess right now theyre going all according to plan. he did not go cannibalising vampires way earlier because they needed mikayuu, and now the time has come to begin eating other vampires to gain their strength. however, i guess he's been drugged with some kind of strength which allows him to cannibalise other vampires? seeing how his life is now timed and he has like. a week to live.

4. the hyakuya orphanage was created by saito (or rigr). imo, i believe that a lot of the apocalypse starting was planned, seeing how the apocalypse began immediately after yuu joined the orphanage. i guess they wanted mikayuu together and that's why they also had a limit of "children only under the age of 12", seeing how mikayuu were 8 when it first started. or maybe that wasn't even the case, since guren in the beginning says that it was a lie lol maybe there was another requirement. however, the plan between the JIDA and ferid was to make it so that yuu (or mika) could escape

5. about how shinoa can control demons: her entire jist is that she was created to hold demons. she's an experiment who had shikama doji implanted in her since she was like a baby. so i believe that shinoa was using shikama's powers, seeing how he's the first so i guess that's something he can do OR she was made with those powers. im leaning more towards the former seeing how after shikama was absorbed, shinoa unlocked these powers

so basically mikayuu are kind of doing everything on their own since no one knows about their real identities and theyre planning on using it against other people while also saving the world using their own methods. if you ask me, i dont think any of them are dying at the end of this. they'll be revived in one way or another. shinoa's situation kind of sucks tho. she was a really cool character in the beginning until kagami revolved her (and mitusba's) character around yuu. such is the woe of a woman written by a shonen author

i don't see anything confusing about this manga ??? it's honestly easy to understand what's going on ?

they're trying to transform mika into a demon that yuu can handle,, a sword. they're trying to turn mika into a sword. that's the main thing you need to understand.

also let's ALL remember that guren, mahiru and shinoa are really important characters alongside yuu at the moment so :]

the amount of people saying that they're here for mika,,, christ. not saying that's a bad thing, it's totally fine, but expect something bad to happen to him because he's literally the deuteragonist and main characters have to go through trouble to get what they want. mika isn't getting any "rest" because he's the 2nd main character - the love interest or yuu's best friend.

also guren is not the antagonist or the side character of this story - he's the tritagonist, the third main character. remember that, folks. he's important to the storyline.

chapter 302 hits a little too close to home

happy 100th chapter!! gonna explain (or give u guys a recap)

basically guren, mistuba and shinoa are making a circle/spell which would (assumingly) bring mika to the world where they would have to try and get him in a sword. meanwhile with mika; asuramaru, kiseko and the other guy ion remember the name of are trying to get to the thing mika desires/loves (?) which is yuichiro so they could get his soul.

i don't think yuichiro is THAT naive either. he'll probably come back to his senses during battle and become the opposite of naive. mika's death probably affected him and this was the result.

chapter 99 is one of the most complicated chapters in this manga. it was practically impossible for me to understand it, but you can't spell impossible without possible, haha.

shikima doji had been injected with a drug that either weakens him or makes it impossible to possess the body in chapter 98. if it were to weaken him, then it didn't work quite well, seeing how he's the first progenitor, but it did work a teeny bit.

i guess shinoa starts to taunt and plan to bind doji before he said the words, "ashera, capture mika's soul before they arrive." well - not really say, he thought those words, but shinoa heard it.

now, is ashera a friend or a foe?

i would say that he's 60% foe and 40% friend. the boy's unpredictable and it seems like he wants to capture the blond's soul and give it to doji, but at the same time it looks like he wants to give it to yuu. it would be good to not assume things about him right now. i think he's more of a foe, though.

then about guren's "i'm going to resurrect all of humanity."

is HE a friend or a foe?

i'd say both. 50% friend and 50% foe as well. he's the bi-polar type of character and let me explain how. he's the type of guy who would say that he loves you so much and that he'd die for you, but then ignore you for the entire day the next day.

he's going to resurrect humanity, i believe it, but i also believe that he'll destroy it in some sort of way, or even destroy it in general if he loses control.

"all of us are guinea pigs. myself, guren, every one of us is shikama doji's guinea pig."

as krul said, the true enemy is the first progenitor. i don't think this needs an explanation. doji's the one playing with the strings, but one right move could cut those strings and eventually everything could go against his plans. one wrong move could tighten those strings, killing every single one of them and getting mika (maybe yuu too).

the only thing they need is to get mikaela back, whether it be in a sword or as a human.
