my opinion- miyauchi wants to apologize to kudu for he thought that leaving kudu, to allow him to find his soulmate is the right thing to do to make him happy. in this chapter he learned that he was ignoring kudu (and his own) feelings, by being afraid to end up like his mother and to end up alone again.

It could also be about the pills thing. How he set up Jirou and Aoi that one time to trigger Jirou to accept Aoi and stop rejecting him.
