So as the time goes Charm becomes extremely heavy to fight against with Trashmoki using it constantly. Be it noble ladies he adds to his battle/pleasure harem, demon captives or even characters on a hero level. One such op character after becoming a slave was plotting to give Lorel to that trash? She was sitting on a while organisation devoted to Trashmoki operating in the shadow of the country.
Also, Charm ability becomes physical. It's being distributed as a perfume that, if you sniff, you're like a mindless slave under a curse. And the Charm itself takes a form of a tumor inside your body.
As for breaking free... If one is under spell for long enough, there will be no help for them. That's why I wrote about mercy kills.
