They're saying learning to shoot a bow would give you the knowledge and skill to handle a crossbow but those are two very different things. I know archery but I know nothing abour crossbows, I mean just the common stuff I know but not really how to use it. Plus, there're multiple styles of archery and different kinds of bows with different requirements and shit. Just like how there're different fields of expertise in for example physics, archery is not all the same. Most manhua portray archery really badly, like using eastern style archery in a european medieval setting, or making the arrow defy physics by putting it on the underside of the bow, or posture being weird af, etc. This can be solved by a quick and simple google search and a few references. It's not like I'm trying to shit on these people that make manhua or manhwa or manga but it's not that difficult to get your shit right. And hey, you'd earn the honor of not getting a comment of some dipshit on the internet who gets annoyed when it's portrayed badly (yes that refers to myself).
Thank you for listening to my ted talk.
Yeah but instead of saying that he learned 'the bow' they could've said 'crossbow', though it might be the translaters' mistake now that I think about it. That aside, I was generally speaking about any manhua/manhwa/manga artist with a portrayal of things that require specific techniques to be done well.
I find it hilarious how this plabeo guy acts like an overprotective mom to the ml.
