I was just crying the whole time lol. The whole family was actually in the wrong tho. She got married and gave birth at such a young age, her freedom was basically taken from her, she also blamed the child and harsen and neglected them both. She was a bad mother but like I said, being a woman is really tough. Plus she wasnt even allowed to get involved in political affairs because they think she's a spy, she wasnt able to be a scholar either because she was forced into political marriage.
This just shows that they think women are just objects, thinking they should sacrifice themselves for the family and give up on their freedom.
Harsen deserves the shit coming onto him though tbh because he was a dick too but its also not easy bearing the weight of responsibilities at a young age and being a father too but he didnt considered her feelings either. He also didnt bother to be a father to vicente either and tried to push the idea of being perfect and sacrificing his own freedom for the sake of the "family".
Vicente was literally the victim here, as a child he DOES NOT deserve any of this, if only he was born into a better family, no, if he was born later on. It was literally the right place at the wrong time. After all, she blamed vicente because she got pregnant with him at a young age and was unable to receive much affection from harsen after he came back for a long time and that his dick father harsen didnt bother to think why she was definitely acting this way and didnt try to be the parent if his mother wouldnt be.
But then again, the problem is literally his parents. The story literally hits different when you relate the fact that your own parents fight for every small things and that the idea of being perfect is also being pushed on you, to sacrifice your own freedom and to get a good job for the sake of your "family". Im not the eldest but my parents put their expectations on me because Im the so called perfect child. At this point i just think that I really need to do this for the sake of my sibling so that they would live comfortably and wont have to feel the burden of responsibilities.
