I wish there were more chapters from Heejae’s point of view, because I don’t understand when he decided to not take revenge on Seyeong anymore? He didn’t act that different the whole time he was with Seyeong irl, or did I just miss that development?

Same thoughts! When i first read it, i was confused if the author just forgot or maybe they didnt want the story to go longer cuz i can definitely see heejae chasing seyeong all over again if he did his revenge.
So I tried to reread some chapters and in chapter 41, HJ is already aware of his feelings for SY (based on the back story). So why did he thought of "keep it in, let's hold myself back one last time" and "you're so fucked SY" if not for revenge? If he knows he's in love, why does it seem like he still wants to exact revenge on SY. I want to think that maybe those lines should be interpreted as him thinking he's finally gotten SY and that he will never let go just so there won't be plot holes. But I really wish we had HJ's POV again to clarify.

I see so many comments saying this webtoon was good, but I don’t have the same feeling at all? This story makes me feel kind of miserable, I mean did they truly have a happy ending? Both Euihyun and Taejoo suffered because of eachother, can they really be happy and put everyting that happened aside? Idk this is just what think, I have a weird feeling after reading this..

when good people have shitty lived it makes anyone observing feel pity, i think that’s what you may have felt whilst reading it because they did live such bad lives even tho they deserved more. idk tho isn’t there compromise in any relationship? they put the bad things aside because they love each other and i think that’s what makes them so strong.

Actually, yes, they can be really happy. They had a rough start, and a lot happened. Euihyun learned how to forgive—he forgave Taejoo and, most importantly, forgave himself. Taejoo began to hate himself and deeply repented his sins. We can’t dictate how long he should feel this way; only Euihyun can decide that and Euihyun forgave him. While Taejoo may not have forgiven himself yet, he will slowly learn to. It may not be happiness by definition, but it’s a start.
Maybe it’s because i binge read this while being tired, but for me I never realized when Soohyun‘s acts for revenge turned into acts of affection. Like at what point does he get feelings for Eunsung. I might have looked over some points, because at the end of the story it’s clear they love eachother, but the development leading up to this point was vague for me.. Can anyone explain?
He was always in loved with him but he mistook those feelings for inferiority. If you read closely you can see Soohyun is actually a unreliable narrator (like the idea that Eunsung was just as messed up and manipulative as him, which is not true)
He was obsessed with Eunsung, at first he only wanted to beat him but he slowly started to stalk him, buying the same things he did, sitting with him
When he comes across the news abt Eunsung he thinks that he wish he was the one that bringed that side of him out and starts obsessing over him again to the point he changes careers just to be able to get close to him and his whole scheme of getting revenge "for him" was only bc he wanted to be the only one to see Eunsung being "ruined" and the old man took that way from him
Let's just say in his own twisted way he always wanted to be the closest to Eunsung and have him all to himself, as the story progresses Eunsung starts to develop feelings for him too. Tbh I think their relationship develop in such a smooth way that there's not rlly an exact moment where he changes, it's just a gradual thing
Ah I see, thanks for your reply! Definitly going to reread this, but carefully this time :))
He did mention and realize that getting revenge on eunsung would have been just a short lived satisfaction more like an act of seeking his attention. And that from the beginning all he really wated was to be next to him
