It's a Chinese manhua, and it's BL (shonen ai to be more specific but literally nothing happened even after some several chapters) & historical? I honestly don't remember much of it—
It's also a genderbender? What I remembered was that the MC dressed up and went to the court in his sister's stead to take her place in the ML's harem.
It started off as obscure comedy but then it became a lot more plot driven and more politics got involved, which is when the story gets good and interesting. Like at first it was pretty stupid (but fun) but then half-way through it was revealed that the ML wasn't at all fooled by the MC and the MC was also well aware but kept the facade? It was great.
What I last remembered happened was that their relationship improved and they seemed to have a bit of a bromance with the romance missing. The MC kinda became an advisor(?), I'm not sure if it was an official title, to the ML.
