what if Asahi and Masato's exes are actually together HAHAH - anyway, I wonder if we'll ever know why Masato thought Asahi's last name was familiar in the first (or was it second chapter?) They never mentioned it again, and it's always left me curious! （/TДT)/ maybe we'll know in later chapters considering the brother is coming into the picture. I'm really worried this manga is going to end with a cliffhanger like Sayonara Game and we'd have to wait for vol.2

Masato was cheated on and left by his mans 10 years ago, and Asahi got divorced 6 years ago in the mangas. So yeah based onn the timeline I think it's impossible, would've been entertaing otherwise
You guys are all misunderstanding Naru's intentions. It's because both Masato and Asahi are very important to him that he can't just mindlessly encourage them. Naru is aware of Masato's tendency to runaway when things get tough and turn a blind eye, so if he were to do that to Asahi it would undoubtedly hurt the both of them which is why Naru is being the way he is. He's trying to help Masato grow as a person and fight for his love, because otherwise Masato wouldn't deserve Asahi and they're both better off without.

i believe you are part right. naru isnt trying to be completely malicious towards masato, but teaching lessons aside, there seems to be something more here.
guilt is a fucked up emotion and naru mustve known that so why..?
