He says as a kid he did burn incense and give him alcohol to keep him disoriented so that he'd keep mistaking him for Anubis and cuddling him... But he was just a poor powerless kid starved for affection AND, given the way they were surrounded by the dead bodies of the boys that Seth had not mistaken for Anubis, I can't say I blame Horus for not wanting to see what Seth would do once he sobered up and realized he wasn't his son!
