The FL seems more realistic in her thoughts and reactions. Eg she is hesistant on this random guy coming into her life either though she's lonely she doesn't want to take the next step without lots of considerations and she tries to make boundaries cause I think she knows if she accepts and it goes wrong it's gonna be awkward and he could just be a fuck boy. but then she seems to not know if she just wants to be fwb either maybe since she still can't get over her ex.
My only thing is for someone who is an overthinker and sensitive to people's real character/ personality vs their outward actions, she doesn't seem to notice her best friends feelings for her. Seems like a complete blind spot to her. Eg he went drinking after she asked for a blind date and he's in a mood cause she's been set up. He's always taking care of her. I hope second male lead finds someone else.
The reactions are so intense. Like the mum coming up to him and just yelling " are u ok?!" Like chill no wonder he's on edge.
I mean, she's worried. her son got bullied and abused before, she just want to protect him. im not a mom, but thinking like one... I understand her reactions
Yeah i also understand her, she's probably scared that he'll hurt himself. When you're faced with the possibility of losing your child, you can definetly act panicky and intense

At some point there's a line were the normal and expected panic and reactions are completely fine and acceptable, specially when dealing with a family member who suffers from depression of suicidal tendencies.
BUT it can happen for parents to go kind of psycho or super intense about it, in a unhealthy way that was originated from their worries but transformed in to an oppressive relationship with their kids, that doesn't help them in anyway.
So yeah, you can totally say "that's not right to do" EVEN if you understand their feelings about the situation.
Your feeling are not wrong and are completely valid BUT that doesn't mean that your actions right, acceptable or healthy :)

Yeh no chemistry and he does seem more a realistic character and he keeps telling her his boundaries while she tries to keep up to his pace based on his boundaries.
