The Hawaii arc is coming! The ML cried and confessed his feelings, but before that, he graped the MC because he thought the MC left him . Still, I can say there's character development after that. He started prioritizing MC's safety over his obsession and eventually let the MC go home to America.

Everyone is forgetting that he was treating her coldly so he can protect her from the fake saint that brought him to Korea. He had to pretend to not care for her so she doesn't get hurt... I hope our FL can realise that he was protecting her and finds out that he's originally not from her previous world and I'm rooting for the ML
protect or not, this trope has always been the worst because it doesn’t erase the fact that he has been horrible and neglectful to her. i can sympathize his circumstances and reasoning and FL could too, but it doesn’t change the fact that he hurt her. period. and honestly, they way he’s coming onto her in this life is so gross because he ignores her boundaries and wishes as if she’s having some tantrum and then downright assaulting her. the fact he doesn’t even understand or TRY to understand why the FL is upset with him says everything it needed to say.
