i really dont understand why everyone is hating on the mom. yall dont understand - she was an inexperienced country bumpkin and got picked up by a much older wealthy man. then he abused her and cheated on her after giving birth to a child. the thing is. every single character in this story deserves hate. they are all shit people in different ways. all of them are selfish, all of them hurt the people around them to get what they want and all of them do it knowingly. female lead is dumb as shit inserting herself into a sinking ship, woojin is a piece of shit for obvious reasons. the son is a mentally ill piece of shit that‘s trying to play poker in this entire equation, husband is a cheating and abusive piece of shit.. and the old hag is cheating in her house, with her son still in it, bringing the man she‘s cheating with into his personal space without regrets, as one of the lowest piece‘s of shit‘s in the manhwa world. Idk. In my opinion she‘s still the worst because what mother would do something so insane? not a loving one that‘s for sure. but the point is… I hate everyone.
We hate her cus her neglectful alcoholic behavior makes her and her son's life worse. She acts as if she even thinks about the son but is constantly only worrying about herself.
I don't mind she cheats on the husband. I don't mind that it's a young guy she's cheating with. But when she tries to act all high and mighty as if she's doing something productive or good for herself or her son by drinking all day, then just moping and f*cking, is pathetic to see.
Then the audacity of her to reprimand the teacher for bringing any ray of happiness to her son's life with the viola lessons. Kinda obvious the mom was projecting all her own issues onto the teacher too, and just using the "she might expose my affair" excuse to get rid of her.
