Don’t expect much romance it’s a mystery drama mostly. The romance is just a few moments of tender longing here and there. They haven’t even kissed yet.

I love how the author plays with the words, they distort them to match the characters emotion.
Some information isn’t told to the audience explicitly. There are slight facial expressions, actions, or words the characters would use to hint at a key detail. Often times, if the mc doesn’t know anything, then the audience won’t either which keeps us on the edge of our seats for fear of the unknown.
I also love how the main couple’s toxic relationship is hardly being romanticized, instead, it’s being horrorized. The main characters are mentally fucked up and the author does a good job portraying that without spamming the audience with endless sex scenes. A toxic yaoi has never brought out the amount of fear I’ve felt from reading about these characters.
Sooo perfectly explained. Not to mention we don’t truly know if the MC’s perspective is truly what is happening. He is clearly having some heavy psychological issues which impact much of his perspective in the situation, so we don’t truly know what is true, and what isn’t. I love this author and how they don’t romanticize it as well. We’re, or at least I am always in a feeling of genuine discomfort. The scenes are so well drawn too. I mean especially the cracked doorway and car window scene. They were so eerie!
