However, in an attempt to gain favor from the King so that he could marry (and save) Miesa, Tilberg ratted out the rebellion to the king. The Grand Duke is the one who called him a traitor.
Miesa is scared of telling her husband because she knows that he values loyalty and because she doesn’t want him to get more involved in a rebellion plot or get more visible in the eyes of the King
