now as for the thoughts, im genuinely amazed with mc's mother and her friend backstory arc. the author fooled us all with making us think somin and sol were friends, but it was actually her mother. blurring (?) the mother's face till her backstory was such a big brain move from the author, making it seem like it was actually somin has to be one of the most peak writing i've seen recently. then, the revelation at the end of the old crazy woman being sol's mother just made it even more absolute cinema.
