I feel like some words lose their meaning when it’s converted to English like hyung or noona or ousei stuff like that cause English words don’t mean THAT much idk I’m just curious to see what somebody else would think
Things definitely get lost in translation, but I think they should keep the honorifics intact as much as possible because they’re important to the story.
A long time ago, I read a review or an opinion piece on Viz’s translation of the manga Loveless, and Viz removed all honorifics, whereas the Tokyopop’s left the honorifics and this person mentioned how honorifics show relationship status and how they change, and that’s why they’re important. Example: in Loveless, Ritsuka has a friend who calls him by his name and Yuiko feels jealous of that, so Ritsuka was like “you can call me by my name if you want” and she’s too embarrassed to do so. I forgot how Viz handled that since in their version she’s always called him by his name.
Some guy replied to a comment I made in 2017 saying how I love bara Bc I like muscles or whatever he told me “kys Fujo you make me wish I wasn’t gay” so I said wtf that got to do w me this shit is so old it’s not my fault you like dick up your ass and you wish you didn’t wtf and he replied back and said I’m homophobic and I just cannot see how I was homophobic when he told me to kill myself cause he’s gay
regarding ur first part i dont think u said anything wrong, u just like muscles. nothing wrong with that. thats a personal opinion. i think you probably got a little offensive on the second thing u said but honestly i think it wasnt that bad considering he was falsely accusing u as homophobic and all. so i dont think u did much wrong ^^ dont feel bad (i say this as a bisexual and ace but i cant speak for everyone)
I reckon I’m to assume the gummies are the past sacrifices ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍
