So this is my personal understanding of everything that went down in these past few chapters, please correct me if I’m wrong. :)
Basically, the “author” (or goddess) who pushed Raeliana off the cliff originally planned for Raeliana to become Beatrice. But, because the original Raeliana couldn’t accept her fate after she read the book written by the author, she made a deal with a black magician to be placed into Beatrice’s body. This made the present Raeliana go into the body of OG Raeliana (thus, becoming Raeliana and not Beatrice). Because Present Raeliana saw OG Raeliana’s past, she knew that she would continue to suffer and die if one of them didn’t die. So, she killed her. I hope this helps anyone confused :)))
