In the novel it’s explained that there is magic in Aeroc’s estate that causes lovers to reunite, it’s a fairytale.
Both OG characters from world 1 will be returning but meet the same partner without the memories nor involvement in world 1. Even Og clough, the old man, before he died… according to a spoiler, he cried declaring his love and regret to Aeroc.
So in s2… Aeroc who died first will experience a second chance. So only he remembers. This AU version of Clough dreams of the first world because of a connection established between OG clough and aeroc.
In s3 (?) it will Clough who returns. In the pov of Aeroc, but this Aeroc doesn’t dream of world1. He just hates Clough and avoids him.
