
I hope melissa would stop being so oblivious to nines feelings as it will only hurt him further. I get the sentiment that she wasn't used to rely on others but this chapter shows that she only made an assumption on what most likely to happen to a main fl but it's an entirely different story with nine and melissa because in this case nine knows that she was strong but he still wanted her to stay safe because he loves her not because shes weak like what melissa think it was.. i guess this will be a character development for melissa and im excited for the outcome..

Melissa is too confident in her plan where she puts her life at risk which makes me feel uneasy. As someone who really likes reading about strategies and mind games this is one of the very big mistakes-overestimating yourself. No matter whos life you put on the line, nobody who looks at bigger picture and small detailes would be this confident. Her confidence is based only on knowledge from novel and protection spells that can reduce effect of poison which isnt enough. What if Peacock decides to use different killing method? Or even magic? Not enough knowledge and planning.
