It wasnt rape because she had a choice. She traded her virginity for the title of duchess so she could help the people. She was stronger than him so if he was really forcing her she would have killed him or hurt him the way she did to the soilders who tried while she was a maid. Yes he was an asshole, but She decided to use him for her own purposes.
