i agree that the exposition definitely could've been better. that said, i honestly couldn't see any other ending for noah + dylan than this; their relationship was toxic since the very beginning and it was nigh impossible to simply move on and start a healthy, domestic life after all that madness.
the two had an ill-fated affair from the start until the end, and beyond the codependency and the obsession, maybe there was love in its own cruel, twisted way – evil borne as it might be.

the ending felt lowk rushed tbh liek is that it- bUT I LOVE THE TWO SM !! somewhere along the way i thought that hyun was kind of manipulative, sensitive, and way too possessive, though he's not rlly aware of it. i mean he's rlly sweet and almost too cute sometimes srsly ! but ye- there's also the issue of his "love" being more like "obsession" sometimes. it's kinda unhealthy, and i don't get why i don't see many ppl talking abt this.
well, when the author showed the epilogue in his perspective i understood that he has flaws. i realized just how much the incident from 7 years ago hurt and changed him. he's too hard on himself sometimes even w trivial matters so long as it involves youngjun. he's a crybaby too when it comes to him ! his cute side is only for him !
meanwhile youngjun is,, well let me just say that i love how he wasn't the type to give in and be submissive in the first part of the story. these days characters in stories like these blush and fall for the ml/fl way too easily. they seem to be almost always closeted. but i believe that youngjun w a s acc straight before hyun. another thing i like is he rlly is just a normal guy. his reactions to how hyun acted w him is how one would. it's realistic. he's a realistic character. and his hatred for hyun at first wasn't just some cheap feeling; he was depressed and it's a fact that he felt small because of him. he was unaware of so many things at the time but that what he'd felt then meant any less. hyun's affection did overpower it in the end, so- all's well that ends well ig :>
now abt the ending. i think hyun not going abroad for mlb is a nice decision. it is. it's entirely up to him in the end and he's sure that he won't be happy being separated from youngjun and for many years at that ! what's money and career and everything that comes w that if he wouldn't be able to have youngjun by his side ? i just want him to be happy. i just want my boys to be happy. he made it clear that playing baseball is meaningless if he doesn't play w youngjun, too. even in the earlier chapters he's alrd drunkenly confessed that he likes youngjun more than baseball gawdhowromanticisthat-
ofc youngjun had a say in this matter as well. he was trying to be strong but he has fears. what if he was keeping someone who might make history indeed ? they're rlly inseparable now tho. they both knew they wouldn't be able to handle being apart for too long ! i believe they're gonna be all right together. and happy ! i mean, hyun's alrd got a plan, right ? play together, eventually retire and become coaches—grow old together. and that's exactly how i'd imagine their life would go. :))

so just like everyone else, this... rlly isn't the direction i was expecting it to go bUT DAMN DO I LOVE IT FOR THAT !! bc of the horror aspect, i do regret reading this at 2 am till 5, but- doesn't matter-
DO Y'ALL KNOW WHEN THIS WILL UPDATE AGAIN ?? SJHWJSHSJS I NEED MORE HHHHH
i guess u can say i want to read more of this so badly i could die.
ANYWAY i think it's the author who hasn't published anything yet till vol. 6 and it acc is ongoing but- KSJWSJDKSJSK
