I'm so confused about the people complaining about this manga (and other similar stories like this one). It's just porn, since when porn is expected to be PG-13, wholesome or realistic? Be it gay or straight, porn is made with the sole intention of getting people off, it's not supposed to be some kind of fine literature lol
Right? Instead of the story I was morr confused why the uploaders were getting death threats. Like why would people do that? Just see yourself out if you dont like it, its as simple as that. Its simply just porn, that doesn't mean we condone the act - its like allowing fantasies and desires to be played out but in the form of a manga where you don't actually perform the unethical act its like playing shooting games- its not morally right to kill people but people still play them because its not real.
I grew up reading Japanese mangas, so I understand the concept of 'no' = yes for majority of their tropes. It doesn't mean its OK in reality, but thats just the culture of Japan in general. People who really can't take it shouldn't send death threats because they're more sinful than the manga itself smh. #－.－) its more shameful that they act like they are of higher moral compass. Its just a manga and its not real.
Well, some people don't like rape/dubcon in their porn because it makes them uncomfortable or it could trigger them. I don't really blame people complaining about it because there's no warning in the summary, the top tags, or at the start of chapter one. And like, can't people express their opinion if the story is bad? Just because it's porn, doesn't mean everyone will accept the ridiculous story just like that lol (even if they enjoy the sex bits). But I do agree it's totally uncalled for to send death threats to the uploaders. They definitely have too much free time...
Well, I know that, there's nothing wrong with not liking rape/dubcon, more power to you you, I guess. I also prefer good stories, but I get that those ridiculous plots exist just because the author is trying to get to the sex bits faster since that's probably the reason why people are reading porn in the first place lol
But if it makes you uncomfortable and you get triggered by something like that, then why would you read BL/Yaoi when it's known for having rape/dubcon tropes? Just to then complain about it? To me, it seems kinda pointless. It's like me reading a shounen manga and complaining that it has fights. Would it be nice if it had something different? Yes. But you should know what to expect when reading a certain genre, so read it at your own risk.
People can dislike and complain about whatever they want, I usually just ignore those comments and move on lol but seeing people complaining about the same thing over and over again on almost every single BL/Yaoi that is not 100% wholesome has become pretty redundant at this point (and also pretty annoying). Are they trying to change the whole genre by complaining about it on an illegal website and by sending others death treats? If you don't like the genre, then maybe go read something else?
(And people do still complain even when there's a trigger warning at the beginning of the chapter, top tags, comments, etc)
