I tried reading the novel a while back. It’s beautifully written so I’ll give it points for that, but there is SOOOOOO SOOOO SOOOOOOO much angst. this isn’t really a spoiler but for most of the story, FL is practically ‘the other woman’. If you love insanely toxic MLs, this is for you. I’m still going to read this adaptation because the art is so gorgeous.
MLs road to “redemption” is very long, him not becoming tolerable for at least 100 chapters. While I can get behind a toxic make lead in some cases, I really can’t stand it when the FL is the other woman. In this case, ML is engaged to a noblewoman for years and that girl(who I don’t think is a complete villain because how she acts seems consistent with how she was raised) bullies and shames FL. If I remember correctly, the engaged couple even like kisses or something in front of FL? that might be a complete lie though, I can’t remember. My favorite is the 2nd ML, an all around good guy. Of course, he’s not toxic enough for FL. If you love king angst this is your story!
