Haesoo right now is portrayed a TOTAL jerk but I think most people missed some VERY important things that lead up to this point.
First of all put yourself in Haesoo shoes. He’s been looking for his sister what sounds like a LONG time. When he finally finds her, she doesn’t remember him. He’s asks to speak to Haesol ALONE but HAESOLs friends didn’t want that. I don’t think he wanted to embarrass her in front of her friends- it just ended up that way.
Since Haesol didn’t remember him, he obviously he wanted to bring up memories that THEY share to help her recall. He starts out with memories that seem normal such as reading to Haesol and hide and seek but then HAESOL brings up the trauma FIRST when she talks about the bitter diet. He gets excited that Haesol is finally remembering and jumps on it by bringing up the water diet, their mom taking swings at THEIR heads etc. He’s obviously lost in his own thoughts and not paying attention to how Haesol is actually reacting.
Also, everyone saying that Haesol was the victim and Haesoo was just a bystander… please read more carefully and take better care to have a good reading comprehension. Haesol CLEARLY MENTIONS their water diet and the mom taking swings at THEIR heads. The whole reason Haesol was treated so poorly by their mom was because Haesol looked like their dad who SA-ed the mom. Now take a moment to think about how HAESOO who looks like an exact REPLICA of their father was treated?
This last part is pushing it a bit but I think the “hide and seek” Haesol mentioned is also related to trauma- Hiding from the mom.

I think you are not understanding how concerning it is that Haesoo doesn't understand why the expression that Haesol made should be concerning, both of them have been abused to the point that one is so fk up in the head that thinks that their childhood memory is normal and the other forgot about everything they went through just to cope .

I’m actually surprised with the amount of people in the comments who are saying that Haesol is the ONLY victim and Haesoo wasn’t aware of it.
Haesoo is CLEARLY a victim too and from what I can tell. I’d even go as far as to say it’s probably worse than Haesol. For example he mentions “remember when she (I’m assuming the mom) used to swing at us?” I’d take it one step further to say that the hide in seek might have been hiding from the mom as well.
Keep in mind that their mother got SA-ed and that the reason Haesol was abused was because she looked like her dad. Now imagine how Haesoo, the exact replica of their father, was treat.
Both siblings just have VERY different ways with dealing with trauma. Haesol sounds like she has Dissociative amnesia (a memory disorder that causes people to forget traumatic or stressful events, including those from childhood). On the other hand, Haesoo sounds like he either has already gotten over the trauma and is making jokes about it (a perfectly normal response to deal with trauma); or, he doesn’t understand what normal actually is and is still struggling with how to deal with it. Either way, they’re SO OBVIOUSLY BOTH TRAUMATIZED!

Also, remember that Haesol has a hard time reading the room and understanding emotions. I know Haesoo seems like he just brought up the trauma for fun but I’m guessing it’s because he’s literally just bad at reading the room and/or doesn’t realize that Haesol reacts differently to trauma than from him.

Did this just have a time skip without them clearing up the misunderstanding on Crystals side? If so, I feel like this is so unfair and deceptive to Crystal.
I just know this is going to hurt him a lot in the future when they finally clear things out. I also think it would also be so much healthier for him and lift a lot of stress about hiding his identity. The sooner the better and putting it off is just cruel to him.

I was worried that Ido would just bulldoze over Sejins feelings saying something like “they’re horrible people just get over it.”- like most of the earlier comments were saying but I’m glad he isn’t.
Sejin is in a precarious position where he knows one thing about his family (that they’re horrible) but his emotions are still hurting him. He obviously loves them and can’t give them up without being conflicted. Which is why I appreciate how Ido is at least to some extent acknowledging it. I still feel like he could be a little softer about it but that’s just me wanting Sejin to have hugs. I feel like Sejin will crumble any second;-; like there’s only a threat holding him to sanity.

I was hoping there’d be SO SORT of character development but nah, nothing.
The ML is such an asshole. He almost r*ped MC twice, TWICE and than acting like not doing it was a kind act on his part. “I’m so patient to put up with MC”- ML. WTH?! Even if MC does like ML, MC CLEARLY SAID NO, STOP, PLEASE, let’s talk this out. And he kept pushing it. Not to mention knowing MC likes him, not telling MC he likes him back and DATING SO MANY GIRLS! Than he wonders why MC hasn’t confessed? He acts like MC is a possession rather than a person. It makes me absolutely sick.
The way I’ve been waiting for a second ML all this time because I can’t with this ML. The first blonde dude seemed 100x better!

I get that to an extent but MC was clearly uncomfortable with it. He may have wanted to do it eventually but not in that moment when both haven’t reciprocated feelings. MC isn’t the type of person who does it with someone who doesn’t like him back. MC keeps running away which indicates he DOESNT want to yet and if ML goes against that’s just SA.
I wish I had more middle fingers to flip off the king
