Binged read this manwha after seeing it, I need more manwha like this so recommend me more liek this one and Pick Me Up where MC is transferred to their game (decent story pls, like these two)
The ones that are the most like this manhwa are Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint and probably Leveling Up by only Eating. (If it's important, that it is a game and not regressing to a fantasy world or some other stuff).
But I'd recommend giving the other ones a go, because I really like them story-wise.
FFF Class Trashhero is a Joke on this kind of comics, so I recommend reading it only after you read a lot of this style of comics (it's really fun, though)
You did say "like this one and Pick Me Up", so I assume you solely mean action series with male protagonists. But since you mentioned similar in the way of the protagonist entering a game they've played, here's a list:
• The Priest Of Corruption
• I Got Lucky And Pulled A 10th Rank Summon (eh, technically counts)
• Drug-Eating Genius Mage
• Ending Maker
• Preference For The Possessor (technically not a game possession, but imo enough game-like to pass)
• Choose Your Heroes Carefully
• Cashman Of A Ruined Game
• Trapped In A Cursed Game As An NPC
• The Handsome Male Lead Won't Let Me Log Out
• Death Is The Only Ending For A Villainess
• I'm Not The Final Boss's Lover
• How To Protect The Master Of The Monster Mansion
• I Think It Would Be Better For Me To Become King
Since I see a lot of readers on the action genre comments hating on the romance genre, I did you the favour of separating the list into sections according to that. The first section is more akin to your typical action series with typical male protags, the third one is closer to typical rofan (romance-fantasy) series - though I would say that in "Death Is The Only Ending For A Villainess" a lot is focused on surviving the dating sim and abusive environment rather than actual romance. The middle section is what it seems like, a middle of these two options. Ending Maker especially. They're more similar to action series with their focus/plot but have more focus/time on relationships and romance than your typical action series. If you're not up to trying the actual romance genre, try starting from the middle.
sorry for jumping in so late, but i have a couple suggestions (though you've probably read most of them). none of them really fit this vibe that "pick me up" and this manhwa really fit, because none of them have "levels" as an advancement in the game-setting. the only plots i can think of where there are level-advancements are in ones where the game becomes real life (ie: leveling with the gods, solo max-level newbie) but i don't think those are the plots you're looking for, so here's some where the MC actually transports into a game
- murim login. it's a bit diff from you wanted bc MC didn't know about this game beforehand. but it's super good, very good game/reward/quest system too. it's also heavily suggested the world isn't just a game
- ernak. mc gets sucked into a game. does raise npcs, but not super "levelling up" like this storyline
- cashman of a ruined game. (someone already said it, but it fits what you're asking for. it's MC gathering powerful DPS offensers too tbh)
- bug player.
- When a Stupid FPS Player Falls to Another World. it's VERY much MC's game, he is like so into it. it feels more like an isekai, exploration manga though, tbh.
- kiss the abyss. mc teleported to survival game he programmed. it's bl tho and ngl,, imo it's kinda cheesy ?
- final boss. MC trapped in the game he's a legend in, becoming a glitchy avatar/npc. but it's a VR game-setting that might not just be a game, and other players from earth is still interacting with it like it's a game
- Joou Heika no Isekai Senryaku. girl plays a game involving spiders. she gets teleported into it. short read, but i heard the ending was dissatisfying but ngl the development was great
- how to live at max level. FL is an OP avatar of this game she's suddenly teleported to. has to learn to make use of teamwork/cooperation + realize she's stuck in this world she once thought to be a game. has romance.
- Surviving The Game as a Barbarian. MC transported to a game he played. idk but it's kind of generic in terms of the relationships he makes- it's more solo-power-fantasy than anything.
- The One Within the Villainess. has romance. it's...kinda interesting bc it's like? a villainness npc repossesses her body after another soul was teleported into it, but this og!soul decides to break free from her original hardwiring as a villainness and instead focus on politics, gathering allies, expanding land, and like saving the world LMAO ? it's not exactly what you're looking for, but if you're bored i'd say give it a read
these are stories where MC transports not into a game, but a novel, but it's VERY game-like. like the world is advanced in nature due to a game-like system.
- the world's best engineer. it's not a game he's transferred into, it's a novel, but it has components of a game: strong character connections/power-levelling, monstrous obstacles/territory expansion, gacha-gambling/game-like system
- survive romance (it's not romance at all). it isn't a game she's transferred into, it's a novel, but it feels like a game-setting that's glitching if you know what i mean. like defeating monsters, strategy, working with others. but it's not a game.
- Kumo desu ga, nani ka? MC teleports into a very game-like world. i don't think this is a game she played, but she treats all the other spiders like npcs/roles? and she has a skill tree.
WTF, what a brutal chapter to end the year with
