I love how he immediately doesn't do what she asked and just hangs out with the kids for hours. Has he ever honored any of her wishes? Why would he start now? Also looks like Pamela needs blood too

A lot of the problems in this story seem to happen because the characters look at "Person Obviously Up to No Good" and then just literally don't do anything about it until literally the last possible moment, if at all. Like Duke Ergi, this man no one can account for and who no one seems to know anything about, has been given free rein to roam around the castle completely unsupervised and has been whispering stuff in Rashta's ear for months and just nobody says or does anything about it? Rashta starts slowly losing her mind and Sovieshu just kinda sits back and lets her run amok around the castle despite being aware of most of the stuff she's doing? Viscount Lotteshu keeps showing up to the castle for undisclosed reasons and speaking to Rashta for other undisclosed reasons and has a baby that looks just like her living in his house and no one looks into it? Krista's family clearly wants revenge for Heinrey driving her to her death and they just kinda ignore it until they straight up try to kill Navier? Why are none of the characters in this story proactive? All of their actions are reactive and they only react when things get so unbelievably bad that they can't possibly ignore them anymore instead of nipping things in the bud before they become problems.

This plot, if you can call it that, is all over the place

How is only one twin a monster and the other one isn't?

Assuming he's even going to actually try to make a cure at all and isn't just lying to buy time, there's no way she's dumb enough to drink what ever "cure" he plans to give her after everything that's happened. Like there's just no way, right?

I'm genuinely curious how they're going to get back together. Clearly that's what's going to happen but I don't know how.

If Ryan lives to the end of the story, I'd be seriously surprised. I'm shocked Heiner hasn't had him reassigned to active duty again already.

We all complain but let's be real: When a new chapter drops, we all come running right back here every time. I'll see y'all next month at the same time.

Honestly, at this point, I kinda want to see this end in the worst way possible for no other reason than I literally have no clue how the author thinks they could possibly make me root for the relationship. If you're going to make the male lead this terrible you might as well fully commit and have him just go full on villain instead of all this whining. Him dragging her back kicking and screaming is way more realistic than her ever deciding to go back to him of her own free will. There's no chance I would believe she would decide she loves him again or that she always loved him or something stupid like that, so just go full throttle with the toxicity. Trying to pretend it isn't toxic is where stories like these fail.

RIP Ryan. Sometimes it's almost like you're still here

So it's true - Catherine only took Annette in because Heiner asked her to and has been reporting on her to him this entire time. I understand why she did it, but imagine finding out the one person in the world you considered a friend was hired to take you in and has been lying to you this entire time. She's probably gonna feel really betrayed if anyone ever tells her.

Now he's probably going to have her reassigned or something so she can be moved from the frontlines. No way he just leaves her alone and lets her do her thing. He's way too obsessed to ever let her go completely.

Five bucks says Catherine took Annette in because Heiner asked her to, probably to help her brother out of jail or something like that, and told her to keep it a secret. She's probably been keeping tabs on her for him this whole time and that's why she feels guilty taking the money. That's also probably what they were talking about for so long when he came to the house.

Where and when exactly would she learn about what happens during war or anything about how rotten the kingdom is? They don't have phones, TV, or internet and it's not going to appear in any books or newspapers she's allowed to read. She's probably monitored and supervised 24/7 and has guards and attendants that follow her everywhere she goes. Heiner is a jackass who's taking his anger out on the wrong person. This backstory doesn't make me sympathize with him at all, it makes me think he's deranged and dangerous.

Oh my god I don't care about this anymore. Show me Annette, not this sob story. Whatever he went through doesn't justify what he did to her.
