A lot of the problems in this story seem to happen because the characters look at "Person Obviously Up to No Good" and then just literally don't do anything about it until literally the last possible moment, if at all. Like Duke Ergi, this man no one can account for and who no one seems to know anything about, has been given free rein to roam around the castle completely unsupervised and has been whispering stuff in Rashta's ear for months and just nobody says or does anything about it? Rashta starts slowly losing her mind and Sovieshu just kinda sits back and lets her run amok around the castle despite being aware of most of the stuff she's doing? Viscount Lotteshu keeps showing up to the castle for undisclosed reasons and speaking to Rashta for other undisclosed reasons and has a baby that looks just like her living in his house and no one looks into it? Krista's family clearly wants revenge for Heinrey driving her to her death and they just kinda ignore it until they straight up try to kill Navier? Why are none of the characters in this story proactive? All of their actions are reactive and they only react when things get so unbelievably bad that they can't possibly ignore them anymore instead of nipping things in the bud before they become problems.
We all complain but let's be real: When a new chapter drops, we all come running right back here every time. I'll see y'all next month at the same time.
Omg same!!! I actually was re reading it yesterday but I didn't get to finish it, I got here now to finish it and was surprised wuth the new update. It is actually my first BL manga so I've got his weird attachment to it, although it is not all that healthy but it is mu ultimate favorite and I have to re read it ever few months ╥﹏╥ It started 10 years ago.
Honestly, at this point, I kinda want to see this end in the worst way possible for no other reason than I literally have no clue how the author thinks they could possibly make me root for the relationship. If you're going to make the male lead this terrible you might as well fully commit and have him just go full on villain instead of all this whining. Him dragging her back kicking and screaming is way more realistic than her ever deciding to go back to him of her own free will. There's no chance I would believe she would decide she loves him again or that she always loved him or something stupid like that, so just go full throttle with the toxicity. Trying to pretend it isn't toxic is where stories like these fail.
I love how he immediately doesn't do what she asked and just hangs out with the kids for hours. Has he ever honored any of her wishes? Why would he start now? Also looks like Pamela needs blood too
