no because why is this even a plot to begin with among all the issues human civilization has faced, you really think overpopulation is the main one to focus on in the next 60 or so years? and if that’s the case, why invest all your money trying to force people to be who they’re not. this just seems like fetishization at this point, with society only “accepting” gay people if they get something out of it (wanting ‘less people in the planet’). There are SO many ways to incorporate gay relationships into romance story WITHOUT making it seem like our sexualities is ALL there is to us.
